Guest access
During the day, you can take a 15-minute drive down to the beaches in Seca, Izola, Portoroz or Strunjan - and after soaking up the sun, retreat to the peace of Korte for a sundowner on the terrace, and some great local cuisine, either on the terrace or in the local restaurants. Alternatively, you can drive a little further to the pretty Slovenian town of Piran, or pop over the nearby border in to Croatian Istria and visit the coastal towns of Novigrad or Umag, or pretty Buje. In the summer months, most of these places host a range of events and festivals that give you a real flavour of Istrian life.

Locally, Korte offers great amenities, all within walking distance. There is a small local shop in the village that stocks all essentials - with freshly baked bread available each morning! The local farmer sells vegetables and salamis; and you can buy wine direct from the Korenika vineyard, which is less than 5 minutes drive from Villa Korte.

There is a great choice of 4 local restaurants too!
1. On Saturdays and Sundays, you can take a 5-miniute walk to the local farm, Kotrle, and enjoy cuisine made from local produce.
2. For good 'inn food' you can walk 10-12 minutes to Gostilna Korte, which offers to to a varied menu that includes meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, and a wide selection of drinks.
3. Adjacent to Gostilna Korte is the award-winning restaurant Torkla - gourmet food at reasonable prices with a selection of delicious wines from its impressive wine cellar.
