Our new hand crafted Nivendale cabin uses cedar, poplar, oak, pine and driftwood harvested from our 150+ acre lakefront property. The unique rustic mock treehouse design has a large raised deck with an outdoor tree trunk window seat. Set among massive shady trees, it is beautifully furnished. Guests can enjoy our large adjacent campground shoreline with a swimming pier, and boat launch and canoe use at no charge. Recently featured in our local paper, there is no cabin quite like this.

The space
Our Nivendale guest cabin has been custom hand crafted and was purpose built to provide a unique and rustic yet luxurious Lake Guntersville experience. It has striking architecture that has the appearance of a faux treehouse from the front. Many repurposed and recycled materials are used in the decor and all interior trim is “live-edge” cedar. All beds and furnishings are brand new. There is a queen bed in a private bedroom, and two electric adjustable single beds in the main room.

We are on the Main Channel of Lake Guntersville directly across from the City of Guntersville shoreline via, the highway 69 causeway on Browns Creek. We are a short drive to downtown Guntersville, restaurants and shopping, yet the cabin sits on the edge of hundreds of acres of undeveloped woodlands, and is surrounded by wildlife, including deer, foxes, eagles We own a half mile shoreline and four streams with ducks, heron, salamanders, crawdads and turtles galore, which guests may explore.

During your stay

We love to show our guests our land and our charming city. Guests can request a visit to our private waterfall. We own over 150 acres of beautiful hilly woodlands which gradually rises from 600 ft. elevation at the lakeshore to 1000 ft. at the peak of Georgia Mountain. There are numerous hiking trails available through our woods guests may explore with us, upon request. We own the adjacent Riverview Campground, which offers a large covered pavilion with a rotating schedule of activities including crafts, nature walks, ceramics, bingo, and music performances. Guests may enjoy fishing from our numerous piers, our swimming area with slide, horseshoes, shuffleboard, canoeing, and our large playground. The cabin is very private, surrounded by woods, but just a short stroll to our home and the campground activities.
