The apartment (85 sqm) is on the top floor of the Old Barn. It consists of a living room with dining area, a sofa bed and satellite TV, a well-equipped kitchen, a double bedroom, a single bedroom and a bathroom with shower.
The apartment has been recently renovated respecting the original style: stone walls, wooden beams and handmade terracotta floors. The interior furnishings are a combination of antiques and rustic Tuscan pieces.

The apartment has a separate entrance and parking space.
In the private garden there is a gazebo (5m x 4m) with a table and chairs where you can eat outdoors, enjoying a spectacular view of the Chianti hills and valleys.

The ancient farm of San Silvestro (45ha) is located on a hill, about 485m above sea level, in the heart of Chianti, in the Tuscan countryside between Florence and Siena, only 27 km from Florence and 30 km from Siena.

In the village of San Donato, just 3 km away, there are some grocery stores, a small supermarket, a pharmacy, doctors, two banks, a post office, a gas station, wine bars where you can taste the famous Chianti Classico wines and a museum of peasant culture.
In the Romanesque Pieve di San Donato, you can admire the glazed terracotta baptismal font by Giovanni della Robbia.
Both San Donato and Castellina have several excellent restaurants, taverns and inns.

Nearby there are tennis courts, a golf course, and the possibility of fishing and horseback riding. You can rent a mountain bike at our farmhouse and be guided by the gentle hilly landscape, full of shaded paths, perfect for cycling and hiking.

It is essential to have a car. The nearest bus stop for Florence/Siena is in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa (about 10 km).

During the year the minimum stay is 2 nights, but from the last week of June until the last week of August the minimum stay is one week.

The tourist tax is not included in the price.
