We had a wonderful week in Truro in Mina’s charming home. We were a small group of three – sisters and sister-in-law – who were looking for a relaxing beach vacation on the Cape. Mina’s house was perfect for us. It’s spacious and inviting, on a quiet and secluded street, and is located just a short drive from both ocean and bay beaches. The beds were comfortable, the shower provided plenty of hot water, and we were delighted to find a coffee grinder in the kitchen! We loved staying in a house with 200 year old history, and reading about painter Gerrit Beneker, Mina’s ancestor. Some of his work hangs in the house, and one can be found at the Cape Cod Seashore Visitor Center near Nauset Beach. We had more clouds and rain and less sun than we had hoped; nevertheless, Truro is only 15 minutes from P’town with its shops and attractions, and about as far to Wellfleet and the private gardens we visited during the Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival. The Payomet Theater, which featured Taylor 2 Dance Company during our stay, is 5 minutes away. We never lacked for things to do, and just enjoyed staying at the house, reading, playing games, and yes, napping, when it rained. Mina was a warm and efficient host, and answered all of our questions promptly, even late one night when the lights went out in Truro. We left Atwood Road rested and rejuvenated. Thank you, Mina, for sharing your gracious home.

We carefully researched this listing by reading the owner's descriptions as well as guest reviews so we knew exactly what to expect and the house, the location, the amenities--all were fabulous! We loved living in an antique home on the cape and we absolutely loved staying in this neighborhood. What's not to love about starting every morning with a bike ride along a charming country road to one of the best beaches on the cape? There is an organic farm stand right around the corner. Provincetown is 10 minutes away. Life is good on Atwood Road! The owners are very pleasant and caring, the property is spacious and private. We can't wait to return next year.

We had a lovely time in Truro. Staying in such a sweet old home was a treat and working with Mina was so easy. We had everything we needed, enjoyed days on the Atlantic, on the Bay, and in nearby Provincetown.

We had a perfect week on Atwood Road! The house is conveniently located, just a quick zip to route 6 with access to small markets for a bag of groceries or forgotten item. Longnook Beach is less than a mile and a half from the house, an easy cycle or walk if you aren't carting a beach cooler, etc. Typical of Truro, the road to the beach is slightly hilly and winding, with just a few houses along the way. We spent most of our days on Ballston Beach, where one afternoon we were treated to whales feeding not far from shore. (Amazing!) The kitchen is modern and well stocked with appliances, pots/pans, etc. I like to prepare food and regretted not bringing my favorite knife - but there was no shortage of kitchen tools to choose from. There was plenty of everything. The house was larger than I expected, with lots of room for everyone to gather or have privacy (the latter was particularly appreciated by the sometimes moody teenager). The living room was the perfect space to relax on our one rainy day, comfortable furniture and many board games to keep us busy. The bedrooms are sweet and comfortable, the bathrooms very clean and stocked with enough towels for the whole week. Favorite things about the house? Morning coffee with sunlight streaming through the living room windows (so many beautiful windows!). Gathering my family after a day at the beach for snacks and drinks on the back patio. A true feeling of family and history in an antique that is more home than house, very clearly a special place that is loved by Mina and her family. This was our first Airbnb experience and Mina was very helpful and responsive. We have been to Truro many times and have the benefit of knowing the nooks and crannies of town. I know a newcomer would be in great hands with Mina. Thank you for our stay. We will return!

This historic house was absolutely wonderful for our two weeks out on the Cape. We loved the location in Truro, only a 12 minute drive to our favorite beach at Herring Cove, a mile from Savory & Sweet Escape, and only 3 miles to Head of the Meadow. The open floor plan was great and made it feel like there was plenty of space, and while the house is charmingly old, the kitchen was modern with very good appliances. Having the washer/dryer on-site was perfect. While it does get hot, especially in the second floor bedrooms during the day, the way the windows are placed make for great cross-ventilation that allowed the fans to move the heat right out once things cooled off in the evening. We had a wonderful time, a very relaxed setting, and the house is exactly as described in Mina's listing. We were very comfortable having up to six adults and one toddler spending two weeks here. I would definitely recommend it, especially if you enjoy old historical settings.

Mina's home is a quaint historic house which is close to our favorite beach on the Cape, Longnook. Each morning we would walk the mile and a half to the beach listening to the bird's wake up and then down the dune trail to see what washed ashore in the night. The house was actually two houses joined together so it is long and spacious. My grandgirl loved the back stairs from the living room to the bedroom spaces. Beds were comfy enough and the night air cool with all the windows opened. There is the traffic sound from Route 6 throughout the night. After night "1" you get used to it. The water is from a well so it is clean and abundant. The heating system is adequate for all to have warm, if not hot, showers. The kitchen is small but has a lot of cooking tools. We finally discovered the cutlery in the dining room draw at the end of the day but for a while were concerned there were only 3 spoons and a few forks! This was one of my favorite vacations with the family and Mina's house certainly helped to make it special for us this year!
