Amazing fully renovated luxury unit within walking distance to all that Charlottetown has to offer! Why stay in a cramped hotel room when you can stay in this luxury unit with all the modern conveniences you could ask for: stainless steel appliances, full kitchen with granite countertops, wifi, Hunter Douglas blinds, washer/dryer, bathroom amenities, free parking, back deck with blankets for night, beach tote, beach towels, and sunscreen, just to name a few!! The space
The Sydney Suite at ParkView On Richmond is a very spacious, fully renovated unit packed with luxury, comprising the entire bottom level of a three united house, with two other Airbnb units above it on the second floor. It was purposely renovated for Airbnb usage so is fully equipped to handle your travelling needs. Located in the coveted 500 block heritage area on the Historic Hillsborough Square, which is one of the oldest squares in Charlottetown having been laid out in 1771, it is an easy walk to shops, restaurants, shows, the waterfront and much more!! This unit will meet the needs of couples, families, and business travelers alike.

Why stay at a hotel with only a bedroom and bath, when you could have a 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment with a full kitchen and free washer and dryer in unit. Staying in a hotel also requires eating out for 2 to 3 meals a day, but with our gorgeous fully stocked kitchen you can do a light grocery shop nearby and cook some or all of your meals conveniently and economically with all the comforts of home.

The kitchen contains a separate coffee/tea station area with not only a machine which will make single cup coffee or a carafe, but also a Bodum French press. You will also have a selection of teas including black, green and herbal. Freshly roasted coffee beans from our favourite local coffee shop, Receiver Coffee is also included.

The kitchen is extremely well stocked compared to most vacation rentals. Items such as a wine opener, can opener, baking implements, toaster, tea kettle, rice cooker, and smoothie blender, etc. are included for your use.

We have a very efficient heating/air conditioning system for excellent climate control, no matter what time of year or weather.

Your trip to PEI will probably include a visit to at least one of our many gorgeous beaches. To maximize your beach time enjoyment we’ve provided beach towels; beach tote; sunscreen; and bug spray (a must for evening beach enjoyment), for use during of your stay.

Guest access
As a guest in The Sydney Suite you will have full access to the entire bottom level of the house and also use of the back patio. No smoking is allowed in the apartment, on the deck or anywhere on the property.

Other things to note
- Absolutely no bookings will be considered unless accompanied with a profile picture and Government ID.
- The rules of NO pets, parties, or smoking anywhere on the premises will be strictly enforced.
- Please also note that this unit is the entire bottom level of a house and has two other Airbnb units above it and noise levels must be respected at all times.
- Only registered guests may stay overnight.
- Only 4 guests may visit at any one time and may not stay past 11:00 pm.
- No bikes are allowed in the house. We do however have a shed and a key can be provided for you to store your bike during your stay.

The house is located in the Heritage 500 block of Charlottetown on the historic (1771) Hillsborough Square. This location is ideal for walking to anywhere in the downtown core and also for very easy access to the highway leading to all parts of the Island.

Our place is perfect for walking anywhere within the downtown core – with a walk score of 93/100 it’s hard to beat!! Here are a few of the places within an easy walking distance (walking times according to GOOGLE maps, so may vary with ability) from your front door.

6 mins (450 m) via Richmond Street – Confederation Centre and The Guild, where many shows, such as the longest running annual musical (54 years) Anne of Green Gables, this year’s new musical “Jesus Christ Superstar”; musical acts, plays etc. are held.

7 mins (550 m) via Weymouth – Sobeys Express Convenience – a small convenience store offshoot of the larger Sobeys grocery chain.

9 mins (750 m) – Downtown Convenience Store located near bottom of Queen Street

21 mins (1.7 kms) – Sobeys grocery store

6 mins (500 m) – Murphy’s Pharmacy and medical clinic. Left on Water Street.

6 mins (500 m) – To the gorgeous St. Dunstan’s Bascilica

7 mins (550 m) – To our favourite coffee shop, Receiver Coffee. Located a few blocks up Richmond in the pedestrian area known as Victoria Row. There is also a second location called Receiver Coffee The Brass Shop located on Water Street which is 5 mins away.

9 mins (700 m) – Starbucks on Queen Street.

8 Mins (650 m) – Restaurants on Queen Street and in vicinity: Sims Steak House, Claddagh Oyster House, Fishbones, Terre Rouge, etc.

9 mins (750 m) – Confederation Court Mall. Entrances are located on all four surrounding streets – Grafton, Great George, Kent, and Queen.

7 mins (550 m) – The Chip Shack. This kiosk is located on the water at Peakes Quay. It has a floating deck with picnic tables and serves delicious fish and chips (which are all gluten free), lobster rolls, etc. At the kiosk next door you can purchase a glass of wine or beer and enjoy your meal.

7 mins (550 m) – Peakes Quay. Here you will find and array of gift shops, a COWS ice cream location, and several restaurants.

6 mins (500 m) – The very popular Water Prince Lobster Shop Restaurant. It is a seafood restaurant with indoor seating or shared picnic table seating outside. If you do not like to wait in line for a seat then making a reservation is advisable.

8 mins (650 m) – Steamers restaurant, which is located on a floating deck, where you can sit on the water and enjoy your meal.

9 mins (750 m) – COWS Ice Creamery, located on corner of Queen and Grafton. There is also a second location at Peakes Quay which is 7 mins (550).

Getting Around
Not only is the unit situated in an ideal location for walking in Charlottetown it also has very easy access to the main highway providing an easy drive to the airport, access from out of town, and to all parts of the Island for easy sightseeing.

Hi!! We are Nancy and Steve, the proud new owners of “Parkview on Richmond”. We moved to Prince Edward Island three years ago, Steve is actually an Islander, and have immersed ourselves fully in all that this beautiful place has to offer. Our next step was to buy a property to convert to Airbnb so that we could bring our enthusiasm for what PEI has to offer to our guests and give them a wonderful experience. When purchased the house was in total need of some massive TLC, and had to undergo a total re-do from top to bottom into a gorgeous three unit complex. Significant renovations have been undertaken to bring the home from a forlorn property to a gorgeous purpose built complex teeming with possibilities. After 18 months of very hard work it is now time to share our property with you. Through Steve’s work as an Oracle Computer Consultant we have been fortunate to have traveled to over 24 countries and have made extensive use of B&B’s and recently Airbnb’s. We first fell in love with the Bed and Breakfast concept in 1993 while experiencing them for the first time while traveling through New Zealand. We loved the B&B concept as it gave us the opportunity to meet many interesting people from all parts of the world, and to have a unique opportunity to learn about the local community through our hosts. Through the knowledge gained over these years we were eager to start our own property and welcome guests to experience a one of a kind stay while in Charlottetown. I am an avid amateur photographer and can often be found wondering the back roads of the Island photographing its scenery. There is so much beauty packed into a small space and any drive you decide to take will lead you to places that will take your breath away. Steve was an avid golfer and has played most of the courses on the Island and would be happy to share his knowledge with you. Both Steve and I love to experience good food and on the Island there are plenty of options for that, especially if you love seafood as there is an abundance of places to help you get your fill. Although known as the Gentle Island, PEI is brimming with activities for you and your family during your much anticipated holidays. From beaches, plays, ceildhs to keep your toes a tapping, concerts etc. there is bound to be something for everyone in your party!!

During your stay
As your host I will be available to you whenever you need. There is a keyless entry system and a full guest information package in the unit to make your arrival as painless as possible. We have set it up in this manner so that if you just want to get into your unit after your trip you can do so at any time after the check-in time of 4:00 pm. If you would prefer that I meet you and show you the property in person, that can also be easily arranged. Just give me your arrival details and I would love to meet you!!
