A cosy and private well-equipped loft space in a rural setting in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is the ideal place for social distancing. Historic sites and excellent walking routes are easily accessible.

This warm, comfortable and stylishly decorated studio guest suite sits above a detached garage and has a private entrance. The house is in a tranquil 4 acre plot with lovely views from your personal raised sundeck. All within walking distance from Tisbury village and train station.

The space
Come and go as you please via the private terrace - also great for breakfasts or sundowners al fresco and stargazing - with parking space underneath. There is a small anteroom for coats and boots, also the home of the kitchenette, which opens through to the main space. There’s a double bed, table, sitting area and modern bathroom with shower. In the ‘ kitchenette area’, you have the use of a Bosch Tassimo coffee machine, small fridge, kettle, microwave and mini electric oven.

Please note there is no hob or sink so it's only suitable for breakfast and snacks. If you would prefer to fully self-cater, you should check out our other listing, The Hut @ Lime Cotttage which has a well equipped kitchen. This is our newly launched Shepherd's hut which will allow you to get back to nature and BBQ round the fire pit.

In line with Airbnb guidelines, we have increased our cleaning schedule and will observe social distancing to ensure your safety.

Guest access
Guests have exclusive use of the Loft and your own private deck. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, the surrounding garden can only be accessed on request at this time.

Other things to note
We also provide a fold-out bed for a third person/ child if needed. We're happy to provide flexibility on check-in and check-out times when available. There are dogs and livestock on the property so we are unable to accept pets.

Location

Salisbury, United Kingdom

Our home is in the Nadder Valley, part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Dorset/Wiltshire border. We are five minutes drive from Tisbury, one of The Times’ top 10 villages in which to live. The village offers an art gallery run by Messums, a tearoom, coffee shops and a host of award winning pubs. Many of these pubs can be walked to, including the highly acclaimed Beckford Arms - although best to book in advance for this one! We recommend you bring your wellies to test out some of these walks.

Tisbury is just 10 minutes off the A303, and once you are here local towns are within easy access. You are 15 minutes from Shaftesbury, home of the famous Gold Hill, and 20 minutes’ drive from Salisbury where you can see Stonehenge, Old Sarum and the 123m cathedral spire, particularly famous in Russia. Tisbury station is also on the main south-west trainline from London to Exeter.

The Jurassic coast in Dorset is only an hour's drive where you can visit Durdle Door and Lulworth cove.

My husband and I have lived in the area for about 10 years. We both now work from home, and having used airbnb for travelling ourselves we thought it was time to start hosting and sharing our wonderful space. We may or may not be around during your stay - if we are away, then we're either in London for meetings or in the mountains skiing or walking!
