Jim and his wife were good hosts during my one night stay. An enjoyable meeting and stay in their home. I had the pleasure of meeting Jim and his wife over a cup of coffee and fresh bread buns from the oven with butter and cheese. They bought a farmstead 25 years from today and made an impact with their property and in their surroundings. It shows. Think Burning Man meet eco farming. There's a good energy here. Would return and bring friends, if they would have me. Great refugium for a city boy.

Jim and his wife are very nice, the house is big and typical Danish, very nice experience. We went to Jim's house by bike from Ferry, the way to Jim's house is also the way to go through Samsø from west to east. Nice trip and nice stay.

Jim's home is lovely. It is very quiet and comfortable and fitted with everything you could need during your stay. The room is large and suited for two people, or one and you will have lots of space. The bed is comfortable and when he turns on the wood stove at night it is very warm which makes for an excellent night's sleep. There is a full kitchen and living area for guests. There is one other room there that may or may not be occupied so you may share the bathroom. A couple was staying while I was there and we never had any problems with sharing the entire space. The area is far from conveniences--grocery store, restaurants, bank, etc., so you will need some form of transportation as the bus (located over 1 km away) only runs every couple of hours. There are bike rentals on the island for 70 kr per day (around $11) and for an extra fee they will deliver/pick-up the bike to the home. Jim has the phone numbers and will happily provide them for you. Just be prepared if you arrive on foot that you will have to walk with your bags from the bus stop and while its mostly flat you feel each and every step. I recommend Jim's home for those who want to explore the island and stay in a welcoming, comfortable place. I enjoyed my time there and wish it could have been longer.
