The apartment had fantastic views of a wide range of mountains. The apartment had recently been renovated, is well decorated, light and very clean. There are plenty of traditional pieces of furniture well combined with modern needs. Hot power shower - great after a day's walking ! We cooked every evening and the kitchen has everything you may need. REWE supermarket in the town is good. Also as it was a very hot week the chalet was cool in the evening which we enjoyed. Thanks for the wine and chocolates as well ! The guest cards were very useful. We're looking forward to a repeat holiday next year. Tip - as the grocery shops are shut on a Sunday, make sure you have some milk and groceries for your first evening meal and breakfast.

Fedrica and Tobias made us feel very welcome. The sparkling and chocolates on arrival were a fantastic touch. They were very accommodating and offered help to familiarise ourselves with the area. The apartment was close to restaurants and shops, short walk down the road. However if you have a full meal at a restaurant a taxi back to the apartment is probably a good idea, due to the steep track. The taxi was under €10. The apartment was exactly as the photos portrayed, a cosy atmosphere, warm and inviting with views to die for. We recommend this to anyone.

What a wonderful place to stay! We loved every minute. The apartment is very nice and cosy. The view from the balcony and yard is stunning. The location is great as a base for exploring Berchtesgaden and it's surroundings. It's also within a short walk from the Berchtesgaden town center without being too close for you to be overwhelmed by the large amount of tourists the city usually has. The hosts are very friendly and flexible. I imagine that any problems will be easy to solve (not that we had any). I can wholeheartedly recommend!

The pictures of the Federica and Tobias' apartment, while beautiful, do not do it justice. Berchtesgaden is a lovely place, with gorgeous views all around you, but even a friend who was born there and has lived there all his life was blown away by the view from the upstairs balcony. The apartment itself is very comfortable, walking a fine line between luxury and the easy warmth characteristic of Bavaria. The modern kitchen and the dining area opposite, complete with Kachelofen (a ceramic-tiled woodstove with surrounding wooden bench) made eating in both practical and pleasurable during an extended stay. Berchtesgaden itself offers many delights, not least of which are miles and miles of well marked and well maintained hiking and biking trails, so an extended stay is well rewarded. The apartment is accessible by a path direct to the town center as well as by road, so I rarely took advantage of the free bus pass included in the rental. You can get from anywhere to anywhere in the area, including wider forays such as to Salzburg, without having to share roads with cars and trucks the whole time. One caveat - Federica and Tobias' place is at the top of a good-sized hill (hence the great view), and while the walk from the train-station is not overwhelmingly long, it is a stiff climb. Consider hiring a taxi for that first trip with luggage to their place if you arrive by train. Also consider hiring an eBike, a bicycle with electric motor assist for climbing and accelerating, available at Brandner Sports, opposite the Berchtesgadener Hofbräuhaus. (Yes, Berchtesgaden has its own. It was, and is, one of the seats of the Bavarian royal family. The pristine nature of the area is in part due to the protection of the royal family, which, for example, limited use of power boats on Königssee [Kings Lake] to electric tour boats and a few utility craft for local farmers and others. Though the area is now a national park, the edicts protecting the area and maintaining its serene beauty persist). Ebikes are also available for rental at the information (EMAIL HIDDEN)munication with Federica and Tobias was good, the welcome was warm, and the apartment was a joy to return to after a full day of hiking or biking. I would heartily recommend Federica and Tobias' place as the perfect base from which to see Berchtesgaden, summed up thus by Ludwig Ganghofer: "Wen Gott liebt, den läßt er fallen in dieses Land," "Who God loves, he sets down in this country."

Welcomed to the home with a local sparkling wine and biscotti. Spacious, comfortable, clean apartment on two levels with spectacular views and balcony and patio for sitting outside. Great location with a walking path to town with spectacular hiking all around. Would highly recommend this apartment to all.

We loved everything about the apartment and the town. A truly magical experience. The apartment was even nicer than it looked in the photos. Toasty warm in the apartment, was a little worried because of the other review but no problem at all. Tobias was welcoming. There was a huge snowfall the day after Christmas and we felt like we were in a beautiful Christmas card. 5 minutes after walking in we asked Tobias if we could rent it for the following week as well but sadly it was booked out.
