Our secluded getaway welcomes solo travelers and couples searching for a dose of nature without having to rough it. Situated on 5 mostly wooded acres that include sweeping views, our property is an ideal spot for those looking to unplug and reconnect with birds, trees, and quiet. Whatever type of retreat you're looking for, my husband and I want to support your needs. Only an hour from Portland, Mt. St. Helens, or Astoria, our place is also an ideal home base for a great day trip.

The space
Our guest house is intentionally simple and functional, ready to support whatever your unique needs might be. With a refreshing distance from all neighboring residences, our space offers quiet isolation with instant access to open fields, charming woods, wild seasonal berries, and local wildlife.

Guest access
A clean and quiet bedroom, full bathroom, spacious living room, and well-equipped kitchen are available for anytime use. Guests also have access to walking trails that are maintained for your enjoyment - including a secluded sit-spot nestled in our woods.

Other things to note
Our satellite wifi works well for sending messages and downloading podcasts, but is not ideal for streaming audio and video. Due to our secluded location, be advised that most cell phone reception will be spotty at best once you leave Route 30. Heads up that the final 1/2 mile approach to our place is gravel.

Our guest house is distant and out of view from all neighboring residences, providing a retreat-like setting in a quiet, natural environment. Horses and cows will often say hello along our rural property lines. We are happy to suggest our favorite eateries and amenities along the way to our place.

After traveling the globe in my 20's, now I'm excited to host other folks on their own journey. My husband and I are grateful to be living in the Pacific Northwest where we hope to nurture our own little farm. Cooking, writing, birding, baseball, and jamming to classical music are tops on my list of passions.

During your stay
Either me or my husband will likely be present in a separate structure on the property during your stay, ready to help if needed. We offer as much space as guests desire, offering a healthy dose of quiet time, or providing a guided hike through our property, pointing out native vegetation and local wildlife along the way.
