1 of 5 self-catering cottages. Great for walking, fishing, biking or simply getting away from it all. Situated 2 miles from the beautiful market town of Llanidloes where you will find supermarkets, pubs restaurants and a swimming pool.

The space

Nestling on the easterly slopes of an unspoilt valley, Glyngynwydd is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty amid mountains, hills, lakes and rivers. South of Llanidloes we stand in twelve acres of land which include; woodland, a wildlife pond, meadow, relaxing gardens and our own stream and dingle for our guests to enjoy.

Guest access

Guests have the cottage to themselves and there is space for parking. A small stream runs along the front of each cottage with a little footbridge providing access to your door. A pathway leads to the garden and barbecue area. There is also a fully equipped laundry room with barbecue equipment and ball games. Unfortunately the cottages are not suitable for wheelchair access.

Interaction with guests

We are a family of 5 who bought Glyngynwydd in January 2014 and are really excited about living in Mid Wales. We live on site and are more than happy to help with any questions or queries.
We are now running Cheese & Chocolate making courses in conjunction with Artisan Country Craft as well as Annie Sloan painting workshops, please ask for details.

A very cosy cottage with a beautiful fireplace! My husband, our 3.5 y.o. daughter, my mother and I spent a nice weekend there. Carla was helpful during our stay.

We simply loved our stay-only wish it could have been longer. Carla made us feel totally at home from the moment we arrived, and Adam's bara brith was a lovely welcoming touch! The setting is stunning and our little boy adored the being round all the animals, especially the ever-patient Guinness who was as good as having a babysitter! The rooms are lovely-simple but attractive and comfortable. We really appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was for self-catering;everything we needed was there which may seem like a small point, but so often you find yourself struggling for a grater or a decent casserole dish etc in self catering properties. We'd love to come back with a group of friends-the row of cottages and the communal barn make it perfect for get togethers. It's a perfect spot to explore from with beautiful countryside, hill walks, idyllic beach stops all within a short drive from the property. We loved our time here-the McHughs make excellent hosts.

Such a lovely stay, we even had homemade fruit cake waiting for us! So quiet and safe. The could go out and play safely, and didn't need to worry. Definitely worth a visit...we'll be going back

My family and I moved from Surrey in January 2014 having decided to try something different. At the moment we have 3 children, 1 dog, 8 chickens and are hoping to get some piglets soon! We're loving our new home in Llanidloes and have met some great people here both locally and through Airbnb.
