The space

Our beautiful, historic, 2 bedroom home, with private parking is located in the most sought-after neighbourhood in Quebec City. It's a few steps from the city's largest park, art museum, express buses, and street-side restaurants. The old city is a 15 minute walk.

The house comfortably fits 4. The house if very large for a 2 bedroom, so if someone is willing to sleep on the couch or one a mat on the floor, the home can easily fit 6. There is one portable air conditioner, but the house is generally cool since it's brick and Quebec doesn't get that hot.

The neighbourhood is near everything. You can walk 2 blocks to Rue Cartier, which is filled with great restaurants, cafe's, shopping, supermarkets, ice cream, bakeries...

The walled part of the city (old quebec) is a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute bus ride.

There is a large, beautiful park at the end of our road, as is the Art Museum. You honestly can't live in a better part of the city.

Someone will be there to help you get settled and help you if you need anything during your stay.

Public transportation is at both ends of our road. You can easily get anywhere from our home using public transportation.

Really great house in a great neighborhood in a great town. Neighbors were friendly. House was clean and well decorated with a lot of space. Didn't have any issues communicating with the host. We really enjoyed our stay there and don't have any complaints. We'll miss it!

We had a fantastic stay. Lovely & quiet neighborhood with a lot of greenery. Near the Plains of Abraham which is a perfect spot for long walks and picnics. A pool and a playground for kids is also near by. For the culture lovers, the Museum of Beaux-Arts is a few steps away, as well as the Old-Quebec with its beautiful architecture. The house is vast & comfy. It was a real joy to have a coffee first thing in the morning in the small backyard connected to the kitchen. It felt like home. We did not meet with James, but it was super easy to communicate with him. Our exchanges were friendly, and he was always ready to help to make our stay as easy as possible. Thank you!

James made us feel very welcome, he responded quickly to our questions and promptly gave us the address that I could not find in the "handy" Airbnb app. James was there when we arrived and showed us around. The house is very nice and very well located, we have parked the car and not used it until departing for Montreal. Unlike some Airbnb places this house has a very good kitchen, all utensils we needed were there, and we have cooked ! James had even supplied a spare gas bottle for the BBQ just in case. We spend time in the garden and used the BBQ a couple of times, no need to replace the bottle. We have also taken up on some of James restaurant tips and were never disappointed. We loved the atmosphere, nice paintings, quiet neighborhood & were lucky with the weather. Should we find ourselves in Quebec again, we would stay there if possible. Thanks James, Roos, Wim , Annemarie, Willemien and Sander

The lovely house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood just north of the Battlefield Park at the Plains of Abraham. It is also near some very nice restaurants on Cartier and Rene Levesque streets. By being a 20 minute walk from the old town, we were able to see more of Quebec City than just the tourist sites in the walled city center.

Definitely one of the nicest places we have rented on airbnb. The house is a lovely historic home in a beautiful, quiet neighbourhood. The space is huge – large living room, dining room, kitchen, with 2 bedrooms upstairs, areas to sit outside in front and back. Very clean, and very comfortable. The location was perfect for us. It is less than 2 blocks from the Plains of Abraham – a huge park with tracks for skating, walking, and playground for children. About two blocks in another direction, you can find stores, restaurants, and bakeries. It is a nice walk to old Quebec City, and the Congress Centre area – about 20 minutes or an easy 5-minute ride on the bus (2nd stop). James is the most available and accommodating host and will go out of his way and do what he can if you need anything. Everything about our stay was very positive.

James took the time to send us information about the area, including attractions & nearby restaurants, as well as info about the house. He was very welcoming and generous, giving us instructions for the house sound system, letting us play their board games, etc. The house is lovely and we really ENJOYED the fact that there was no TV to "zone out" on. We played more games and engaged with our 10 & 11 year old boys. We all had a ton of fun. James was VERY available by phone and text when we had questions or needed help. Highly recommended, and great location!!

I'm a Professor at U Laval. I'm American and moved here with my wife (who is from Quebec) about 8 years ago. Honestly, I would never leave now. This is the most wonderful city in N. America.
