We want to thank Martine and Christophe for their hospitality and generosity. The suite in the house of Martine and Christophe is very big and clean. The private bathroom is also very nice and provided with all necessary tools. The breakfast is delicious. We had a perfect stay in the suite. The good night sleep and breakfast are the ideal ingredients to start a day in Alsace. Zellwiller is a small village close to the 'route du vin'. Ideal for wine lovers like us. Bigger cities, like Colmar and Strassbourg, are less than only 30 car minutes away and really worth a visit. In the Vosges hills between Colmar en Strassbourg there is also a lot to do. Martine and Christophe give you advice about all the possible attractions and day trips. We really enjoyed our stay in Alsace. The house of Martine and Christophe is perfectly situated to discover this beautiful region. We recommend the suite to everyone and will certainly make a visit again in the future.

Staying at Christophe and Martine’s was one of the highlights of our European trip. Zellwiller is a beautiful, quaint town with half-timbered houses along the Route des Vin – a perfect location for exploring villages along the route. It's just south of Obernai, centrally located to everything. Very residential and authentic – away from tourists. It is surprising more people wouldn’t make this charming town home-base and stay with Christophe and Martine. Their house is a GORGEOUS renovated half-timbered home with impeccable design, attention to detail, and a great deal of effort to maintain original architecture and historical significance. The front faces the main street in the town center. Upon entering the driveway, it opens up to a beautiful spacious farm on a vineyard! What a dream! This was the most luxurious stay of our entire trip. Our hosts were incredibly kind and gracious - two of the most delightful people we ever met. They take pride in not only maintaining a beautiful home, but also with being wonderful hosts. They bent over backwards to make our stay truly enjoyable and memorable. They communicated regularly to ensure a smooth transition and greeted us upon arrival. The suite had a very large bedroom, small sitting room, and private en-suite bathroom: all beautifully appointed. It was romantic, relaxing, and the bed was the most comfortable bed on our entire trip. When we arrived we found a thoughtful present in honor of our anniversary! They asked us what time we would like breakfast and we were amazed by the gourmet spread: fresh local butter, cheeses, croissants and breads, coffee and tea, cereal, homemade jams, fresh fruit, etc. Absolutely sublime! A major perk was that they allowed us to use their bicycles to explore the area. They shared maps, brochures, and provided us with specific directions and tips for which towns, chateaus, and vineyards to visit. It was magical riding the bikes on the path through the vines, where cars are not allowed. In the evening, Christophe and Martine generously shared a bottle of wine from their vineyard with us. We enjoyed wonderful conversations about our families, experiences, and global issues. I was especially appreciative of Martine's assistance with vocabulary as I practiced my French. The next morning, Christophe took us on a tour of the vineyard on his tractor! Riding the Route Des Vins on bicycle was exhilarating, but nothing can compare to the authenticity of driving through the owner’s vineyards on his tractor and tasting grapes directly from the vine. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Staying with Christophe and Martine was an experience far surpassing any 5-star hotel. The people are as beautiful as the home. In staying here, you not only get a 5-star home, you get 5-star hosts. Trust me, you won’t regret your stay.

Christophe et Martine are super great host. They are very accommodating and welcoming. We shared a couple bottles of wine and had a great chat. The house is beautiful. The room and bathroom is spacious, bright and very clean. The location of the house is perfect to see Alsace. 30 mins to Strasbourg and Colmar. Great breakfast every morning. Would totally stay there again if we ever go back to Alsace.

We arrived to Chirstophe and Martine house as planned. They were waiting for us and welcomed us very warmly, offered us wine and snacks. Their house was easy to find, the street signs are clear and the house is located on the main street of the village. It's a 200 year old large farm house with a large yard and it is completely renovated inside. We had a very large and clean room on the 2nd floor, with a large private bathroom, exactly as described. The room and bathroom were very clean, the bed was large and very comfortable. The house has an internal heating system, the temperature can be adjusted for your comfort. The location is very quiet and close to Strasbourg. Martine prepared a delicious French breakfast for us every morning asking us at what time we wanted it to be served. Christophe was very kind to introduce us to the French farm life and wine making. He gave us a tour of his vineyards, and he took us to see a cow farm and horses of his friend. He even gave us a tractor driving lesson, which was a lot of fun! They served us local wine and we had awesome conversations about life in France and around the world. The main tourist attractions are easily accessible from their place, they gave us very good suggestions about places to visit in the area. They speak English. Christophe and Martine are great hosts, we felt very welcome in their home and highly recommend them if you plan to visit Alsace.

We had short stay at Christophe and Martine house. There was very nice environment and house is really comfortable. First - floor room gave us a pleasant area to rest during the journey. Christophe and Martine were very helpful, friendly and gave us useful tips to explore the area around village. We really liked the house and its history. It is a very sensitive renovated house with pool. Breakfast was excellent full of various tastes (including domestic product). We had everything we needed and wanted. Thanks to stay in a friendly environment and wish you a cool guests in the future Vendula And Tomas
