The ground floor self contained holiday apartment (with conservatory) is attached to Abbot’s House in Goathland, 10 minutes’ walk from local pubs, restaurants and shops. It is located in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park and near the coastal town of Whitby. Scenes from Heartbeat were filmed in the old farmyard. The North Yorkshire Moors steam railway runs past the bedroom window.

The space
The apartment is a converted dairy house attached to the rear of Abbot's House. This is the original settlement of Goathland, established in the 12th Century, and was the hermitage of the Abbot of Whitby.

- Open plan living space with a comfortable double bed, sofas and dining table.
- Fully-functional kitchen can be closed off from the main living space and includes a De'Longhi coffee machine
- Bathroom includes a bath and shower with instantaneous hot water to soak for as long as you like
- Garden conservatory is a joy on sunny days and is accessed by a short flight of six steps from the hallway
- Apartment has a beautiful private garden with barbecue equipment and views of the North Yorkshire Moors and steam railway.
- Guests access the self-contained apartment using their own private driveway, parking space and door.
- Please note that the apartment, although self contained, is part of the ground floor of Abbot's House, and is thus not the whole building.

Guest access
Driveway and car parking space leading to the apartment garden. All of the apartment and garden is freely available, the rest of Abbot's House is private. There is total access to all public footpaths around the property, and permissive vehicle access along the old railway leading to Abbot's House.

Location

Goathland, United Kingdom

In a quiet rural area, the farm itself is almost a mile from the village. We have dark skies and peaceful nights. The moorland is the largest single area of protected moor in England, home to a huge variety of wildlife and magnificent landscapes.
