This recently-updated heritage home is just blocks from Commercial Drive and a short drive/transit ride to downtown. Sunny deck overlooks enclosed backyard with lawn, sandbox, playhouse and kiddie pool.

Four bedroom, five beds, 2.5 bathrooms can sleep 10.

The space
This home recently underwent a major renovation that wonderfully integrates the 1910 heritage character with modern comforts and technology. The high ceilings and extensive windows provide for a bright, open and beautiful space.

MAIN HOUSE
The main house has three levels.

The main level contains the main entryway, kitchen, living room, dining room and a powder room. There is a kids play kitchen and books tucked away in one corner. Kids toys and board games are stored in the living room shelving. The living room couch is also a sofa bed. Large, sliding double doors can separate the living and dining room.

The dining room table extends to seat eight people easily. There is also an electric piano in the dining room. A second set of double doors also opens the dining room to the outdoor deck overlooking the backyard.

The second level contains the main bathroom (bath/shower, sink and toilet), washer/dryer, 1st bedroom (queen), 2nd bedroom (queen), 3rd bedroom (two twins)

The third level (attic) is a private space with a separate bedroom and bathroom for the host.

SHARED SPACE WITH HOST
The host will be living in the 3rd level with a separate bedroom and bathroom but shared entrance and kitchen.

GARDEN SUITE
The Garden Suite is detached from the main house but shares the same enclosed backyard lawn. The built-in queen bed sleeps two for when our friends and family visit. It has its own entrances and bathroom (shower, sink and toilet). Please note that we do not rent out the Garden Suite on its own.

BACKYARD
The backyard is a 20' x 30' enclosed lawn area with a sandbox, playhouse and kiddie pool. The south-facing deck overlooks the lawn area and comes with a BBQ, table and outdoor seating.

BASEMENT SUITE
The basement suite is rented out separately to a long-term tenant who has a separate, private entrance. Aside from a shared pathway, the basement suite does not have access to the main house or garden suite.

Guest access
MAIN HOUSE
You will have full access to the main level and 2nd level of the main house. You will not have access to the 3rd level of the main house where the host is staying. Note that the host will also use the kitchen and main entrance.

GARDEN SUITE
You will have full access to The Garden Suite.

BACKYARD
You will have full access to backyard, deck and kids play toys.

BASEMENT SUITE
The basement suite is rented out separately to a long-term tenant who has a separate, private entrance. Aside from a shared pathway, the basement suite does not have access to the main house or garden suite.

Michael and his family have made their long-term home in Vancouver and love the Commercial Drive neighbourhood. We have deep roots with our friends and family here and make good use of the many parks and coffee shops. The beautiful nature that surrounds Vancouver (North shore mountains or Sea-to-Sky Corridor) is our favourite place to play on the weekends. We have been grateful for the hosts who have allowed us to stay at their home when we are travelling and look forward to hosting others here.
