Explore beautiful Nantucket Island while staying aboard a classic yacht!
Roshika is a 1953 Hinckley located on a private mooring in the Nantucket Harbor, where you can go for a swim, relax on deck and take in amazing sunsets from the cockpit!
Easy access to all downtown Nantucket has to offer!
Roshika provides an opportunity to enjoy the island of Nantucket while staying aboard a 36' classic sailboat.
Built in 1953, she has a wonderful interior with lots of varnished mahogany and full standing headroom throughout the vessel. Forward (or in the bow) you will find the V-birth, that sleeps two comfortably and has access to the head (bathroom).
The middle section of the boat (the main salon) contains another full birth that can sleep one on the starboard side and a second (though shorter) birth to port.
Other amenities include, a well insulated ice box, CD/ iPod compatible stereo, life jackets, DC cell phone charging station, reading lights and two brass oil lanterns that create a beautiful warm light throughout the cabin. There is a sun shower on board, but guest are welcomed/ encouraged to use the well maintained public showering facilities located on the docks.
Access to town is via the Nantucket Harbor launch which runs regularly from 7:00 am to midnight for a fee of $5.00 a person, plus tip per ride.
A truly unique Island experience!
to one of the prettiest harbor around.
Interaction with guests
I have been a yacht Captain for over 10 years and I live/work on the Island. I am on the water everyday and will be available to address/assist with any questions or concerns.
Other things to note
I will accompany you to the boat and walk you through the necessary procedures to make your stay as comfortable as possible. However, before booking please consider that this experience is not like your typical rental. Its is a boat out on the harbor and subject to the elements -if you are not comfortable on boats and/or generally don't enjoy camping this might not be for you.
The boat CAN NOT be moved from the mooring. The floors are varnished teak and holly, so sorry no dogs please!
Also, a good tip if possible would be to avoid rolling luggage! They are hard on cushions and varnish, plus the cobblestone streets of Nantucket are not easy to navigate!
