Our guests have complimented us on fully equipping the kitchen, so to that end we do provide these modern appliances: blender, food processor, mixer, hand held mixer/blender, toaster, kettle, Keurig, french press, perc and stove top Italian coffee maker, Belgian waffle maker, fine pots and pans, and slow cooker.
An indoor fireplace, fully stocked with wood, provides guests with the warmth and charmed light during long relaxing days and evenings.
For outdoor endeavours, we provide a Weber BBQ, small charcoal BBQ and 2 live fire opportunities, with grates, and an increasing supply of ways to make a Smore, grill a steak, roast a hotdog on an open fire.
We supply all essential condiments, and an expanding list like balsamic reductions, mustards, vinegars, olive oil, canola oil, salts, herbs and spices, and basic baking supplies like flour, baking powder and soda, sugar, our honey and local maple syrup. If we can, we do provide produce and unique wild edibles from our farm next door. Tea and coffee are provided too. Local farm fresh eggs are provided as is a bottle of local hard cider, as available.
Guest access
When booking Ladybank Schoolhouse, you have use of the entire building, and outdoor spaces. The lot is characterized by century old maples, a cedar grove and and an herb garden for your culinary use. In addition Ladybank Farm surrounds the property and you have access to 100 acres of fields and forests for your walking pleasure, and cross-country skiing and snow shoeing during winter months. The farm is also the source of our single yard honey fresh vegetables, and many seasonal wild foods which we supply to guests and our restaurant partners. Follow us on Instagram @ladybankfarm
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances you may need to create a great meal, test a new recipe, or invent something new with family and friends.
Summer has arrived and its a perfect time to enjoy a long stay to simply getaway and unwind. Guests frequently have come for a week, or longer during this time and we offer discounted prices for longer lengths stays.
For any bookings, guests may inquiry with us about earlier check-in times and later check-out times, and if available, what additional fees may apply to be arranged with us directly.
We will entertain requests to allow for additional guests in tent arrangements provided these are discussed with us and additional fees are agreed.

This is why we have taken, and are continuing to take, the following steps:
1. We are in contact with local, provincial and national public health agencies for daily information about the state of COVID19 and advice on how to live, work and conduct our business during this time.
2. We remain in touch with our local tourism agencies at Visitgrey and BruceGreySimcoe and FeastON to laud and encourage them in their effort to guide hosts and guests with current information and best practices.
3 We are maintaining our recognized high standards of cleanliness, including whole house cleaning and linen services. We've added to our stocks of personal sanitary care, which always include supplies of hand cleansers, wipes, soaps, and toweling.
4. We are adopting all of the advice that @Airbnb is issuing to guests and hosts with more flexible cancellation policies and greater communication with guests looking to get away.
5. We are providing these ways for future guests to reach us directly should they wish further information about whatever are doing: (tel) 6472440533 and ladybankschool@gmail.com
6. We have lengthened the days we block off before and after each reservation to allow for the most diligent of cleaning care.
7. We respect the responsible choices that guests make and the practises guests may adopt and follow during their stay.

9. We are monitoring the actions that restaurants and shoppes and other tourism operators locally are doing to in response to the virus and are proving recommendations to guests these proactive establishments.

Hi. Welcome to Ladybank Schoolhouse. We are thrilled that you are considering a stay here. The schoolhouse is owned and operated by our family as an accommodation/getaway for guests like you. We own and operate Ladybank Farm, next door, where we express our work and commitment to biodiversity, sustainable forestry, and regenerative farming and food production. We live in the country, and we are always near when guests are staying at the schoolhouse. Our family roots in this area date back 5 decades and we are active contributors and supporters of our brilliant community here. We host our guests with their comfort and privacy front first.
Our properties are restored historic buildings - places and spaces that we have a passion for preserving, improving and sharing. And hey, if its an off-grid experience you want, we'll show you how to turn off your phone, unplug the WiFi and TV, turn off the lights and furnace and remind you how to light a candle and start a warm wood stove fire! If that's what you really want.
COVID-19: We have implemented a number of new and strengthened measures in response this pandemic in order to do our part to stop its spread and provide our guests with comfort and confidence. These are provided in detail in our listing. We are favouring long stays, for potential guests needing housing related to this time of emergency. We do not host other guests while you are here.
