Although my experience at Sannoan B&B was a brief one night visit, I truly enjoyed meeting the two sisters, Shino and Yukino. Upon arrival, I was very much impressed with their pick-up service from the train station and then to follow, a return trip for my departure. Definitely, the whole adventure of going a little out of the way from the direct route to Nikko, was more than worth it. I compliment the two sisters for their warm hospitality and genuine service. We had a really great time with Yukino and Shino. They were very friendly and accommodating hosts and cooked delicious Japanese breakfasts. We had dinner in the cafe a few nights too and it was delicious and a good price. The rooms and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Kanuma is a nice town, easy to get to from Tokyo and only 30 minutes by train to Nikko. It is very easy to do day trips. We have absolutely no complaints and we highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful, out of the way place. Yukino [and Shino] looked after us far beyond our expectations. Typical of Japan and her people: excellence all 'round ..

Yukino & Shino were most hospitable, even prior to our arrival at their place, with very prompt replies via messaging. Language was no barrier as their English is better than our Japanese! I must say this is a real experience of staying within a humble Japanese town. We drove, so location was not a problem. The room is sufficient, clean and comfortable for a couple like us, so was the bathroom. We were pleasantly surprised by the Autumn Matsuri that took place in Kanuma town on the evening we arrived, so the experience was even more traditional. And the breakfast, prepared by the lovely hosts, was heart warming. We enjoyed the stay overall. Thank you very much Yukino & Shino!

Yukino and Shino were very nice to pick and drop me off from the JR station. As their place is a residential area, it's hard to find food at night especially when it get dark. I will recommend eating in their place as they also serve very delicious and generous breakfast. I walked home alone from the nearest station (without the bicycle) and it took 18 mins. It will be a lot faster with the bicycle. The single room that I stayed was really big too!
