We are on The Mighty Mississippi River. Your backyard. You can sit on your porch, shade deck, sun deck or walk out on to the dock and enjoy your morning brew. In the evening you can sit out on the dock and a beautiful sunset. Eagles are visitors to the area, as well as Great Blue Herons, river otters, muskrats, and a few varieties of ducks. This is truly a place for those who love to be on water.

My husband Pat and I along with my parents, built this house in 1992. The land had belonged to my father since the 1960's. So we were very fortunate to have an opportunity to live here on the Mississippi River.
I love to read, get together with family and friends, and travel. Biking is great and I belong to a bike club (social, not competitive). My husband and I go boating several times a week when the water is open. I am kind of a coffee snob (but only because I love it). Popcorn is a must have food and I need to make it the old fashioned way. I love all kinds of music and still enjoy concerts and learning about the music that our three grown children like.
My sister taught me to love travel. Through Airbnb, we made friends with some folks from Australia and I finally got my husband to travel with me to Australia on a three-week adventure! Now he's got the travel bug too!
We live in the upper two floors of the house, so it is easy for us to be around to help out with any questions or needs while you stay. But, you also have your own private apartment on the first level which gives you access to all the amenities and a place to relax on your own.
I think of my life here as filled with simple pleasures!
