Couldn't have chosen a better place to stay in Beirut! Samer arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the airport and greeted us at the guesthouse with tea and discussion of what there is to do in Beirut. Baffa House had a charming atmosphere and is located right near the restaurants and bars. It was clean, comfortable, and had the most delicious breakfast prepared every morning. Look no further than Baffa House!

Samer was a great host and the place was just as one would expect from looking at the photos and descriptions on Airbnb. It's a beautiful building with amazing artwork...and downstairs there is a wonderful restaurant and art gallery. The bedroom is very comfortable and it was nice to have my own bathroom as well. Everything was great. Absolutely loved it. Also in a great neighborhood with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants.

Baffa House was fantastic! Samer was there from the first moment to greet us and gave fantastic advice on restaurants and things to do in Beirut. The house itself is very characterful and comfortable with tasty and different breakfasts served each morning. Samer is a wonderful host and was there each morning to make sure we had a plan for the rest of the day and was also available on the phone for support at all time. Would certainly recommend.

We had the best stay at the beautiful Baffa House. We felt welcome immediately and Samer gave a good introduction to Beirut and he was always very helpful with practical stuff, dining recommendations etc. The room was very nice and clean as well of the rest of the Baffa House. The breakfast was delicious and often included something sweet made by Samer's mother. The Baffa House is situated in a quite street but close to the vibrant Armenia Street in the trendy Mar Mikchael where there are lots of great bars and restaurants. The Baffa House and Beirut are fantastic and highly recommendable. We hope to come back sometime again and we wish Samer and his family the best of luck with the guesthouse.

It's always a pleasure to stay in this guesthouse! It's comfortable, nicely decorated, the breakfast is fantastic (including the Mum's specialties...). I also like the vibe of this neighborhood but the house remains in a quite street and nights are quiet... This was my second stay and I'll be back!

I had the good fortune of staying at the Baffa House for a week. I honestly think that you can stop searching for places to stay in Beirut, because this is a great find. There are several rooms in the Baffa House, and I stayed in the Blue Room. It’s large with wifi, air conditioning and heater. The bed and linen were so comfortable that in the morning I had a hard time getting out of bed. Once I got up it was great to open the 3 bedroom windows and let Beirut’s morning air and sun in. Breakfast was served in the living room/common area as each guest woke up, and consisted of a glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice, coffee/tea, seasonal fruit and vegetables, breads/pastries and a different main course each day. The common area is a great place to work, socialize, or just relax. I met some of the friendly and interesting co-guests there during my stay, and that created a sort of community atmosphere that I liked a lot. Baffa House's location, in my opinion, has the perfect balance of being in a quiet neighborhood, but only a 3-4 minute walk away from the lively social scene on Armenia Street (bars, restaurants, cafes, galleries, etc.), and another 10-minute walk to the Gemmayzeh social scene on Gourand Street. On top of everything I listed, what made my stay at the Baffa House extraordinary was the hospitality of Samer and his family. They live on the top floor, but Samer was always available. In fact, every morning Samer was in the common area making sure that all the guests received breakfast. Samer was always eager to help with planning my days in Beirut and he’s a wealth of information. Also, he can set up car service to wherever you want to go. Let me summarize by saying that in my opinion if you’re looking for a home-away-from-home in Beirut, then this is the place!

I can't possibly recommend a stay at Baffa House highly enough. From breakfast in the morning (delicious) to taxis arranged to restaurant reservations made, Samer's incredible hospitality absolutely made our trip. It was our first visit to Lebanon, and his assistance was invaluable. The house is beautiful, the other guests were charming, and the bed is comfortable (firm). One caveat: the neighborhood is fairly quiet despite its perfect location in the coolest neighborhood, but the house itself can be a little noisy at night depending on what the other guests are doing. Aside from that, I would recommend Baffa House to travelers of any age, with or without children. In my opinion, it's an outstanding value. Pro tip: ask Samer to book you a wine tasting tour with Carlos! It was unforgettable.

I'm a filmmaker living in Beirut. Obviously, I'm passionate about cinema so once you get to my house you'll notice some items related to films. I'm also interested in other form of arts (literature, music..). I usually travel to participate in film festivals/events or for a shooting outside Lebanon. When we travel my wife and I "as tourists", we usually look for a charming house to stay in as you're doing right now ;)
