High ceilings, polished floorboards and ornate mantlepieces add to the inherent period charm.
Curraghmore Apartment's walls are peppered with original artworks which keep it interesting and give the apartment a unique feel.
Recent kitchen and bathroom refurbishments ensure that all facilities are modern and comfortable.
Particular attention has been paid to the bedroom, with a fabulous queen size bed, luxurious linen, allergy-free wool doonas for extra comfort, feather pillows and various throws and comforters available.
For clients who choose to stay for more than three nights we like to offer a choice of an inhouse breakfast basket or a $20 gift voucher to our favourite local café.
Full cooking facilities are part of the gourmet cook's kitchen with a gas hob, electric oven, dishwaher, microwave and loads of bench space.
There is a lovely light-filled bathroom with lots of fluffy towels and large walk-in shower.
Washing machine is available as is free wifi.
For extra family members or other guests there is also the convenience of a comfortable DB-size inner spring sofa- bed located in the large lounge area.
There is also a single bed available in a smaller separate bedroom.
Plenty of spare pillows and bedding are also available in the apartment.
Curraghmore apartment has both gas and electric heating available and solar hot water with electric boost.
Curraghmore Apartment can truly be your home away from home, either while you are on holiday or if you need somewhere special and comfortable for a longer stay in Launceston.
There is ample off street parking available and the apartment is fitted with security window and door screens.
In a beautiful, leafy and private setting, Curraghmore is located in the prestigious suburb of East Launceston, but is still so close to all local facilities and the CBD.
Guest Access
Guest have access to the private parking area via the back entrance. There is a movement activated sensor light over the parking area.
Interaction with Guests
The hosts are often present onsite to answer any questions or guidance in accessing local tourist facilities and points of interest.
The Neighbourhood
The neighbourhood is quiet and well-located in relation to the CBD and major travel outlets.
It is also worth noting that the majority of East Launceston is up and down hills.
The parking area is on level ground but we are located on a slope.
The area is leafy with a mix of many unique heritage and modern homes interspersed with many parks and cafes.
Our favourite cafe (Le Cafe on St George) is 5 minutes up the hill and overlooks St George's Square.
Superb breakfasts and quality coffee are their speciality.
At the bottom of our street is the most wonderful deli 'Alps and Amici' for lots of local treats and specialty products.
Curraghmore Apartments are 15 minutes from the airport and 5 minutes away from all major arterial highways.

Free guest parking is available at the rear of the property accessed via Sanden St

Interaction with guests

Internet Wifi is available for our guests however it is understood that our guests agree to only use this network for legal purposes and must promise not to take advantage of our generosity for illegal uploading, downloading, or any other illegal activities.

We live close by so we are available to help our guests as much or as little as they need.

Other things to note

There is a park at the top of our hill and most evenings there is a trio of food vans that serve their products to the people that like to gather beneath the beautiful trees in the park.
Some evenings there is also live music in the park.
It has a fabulous playing area for children which is great for parents as they enjoy their food and let the kids play.

Our guests are always delighted to be staying in such a pleasant spot and treat it like a home away from home.
It is a quiet suburb so we would not encourage parties in the apartment unless we are invited of course.
We have always found our guests to be very respectful and polite and have been very happy with everyone who has chosen to share our space.
Our property is strictly non-smoking which suits most people who visit.

Cate's place is just as described. We found it comfortable, clean, & well equipped for cooking in house meals. The bed was comfortable & the 2 fans were perfect for the warmer days! It was great having the washer & dryer, so handy while travelling. We would recommend it & stay again!

Great central location for exploring this area of Tasmania. Cozy lounge to curl up in front of the heater. Although being on a fairly busy street was surprisingly quiet of road noises at night. Cate was very easy to deal with.

Had a lovely stay at this spacious home. Kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils, fridge and some cooking staples in the pantry. Bathroom was clean and well prepared with thoughtful amenities. House was a little cold during early spring when we visited and the heaters were not fully working. Otherwise, felt like a home away from home. A good place to stay while visiting Launceston.

This place was a very comfortable stay with everything we needed. Wonderfully located with only a very short distance to shops cafes and parks. We loved our stay in Launceston and can't wait to visit again.

Cate's place was beautiful and unique, a lovely gem located near the center of Launceston. Parking was a tad tricky as it was on an angled and steep sloop, so you'll need to be mindful. There were plenty of heaters around the house to keep you warm in winter. Art pieces around the house, which I think may have been drawn by Cate, added a special touch :) Hot water tank appeared a little small so had a couple of lukewarm to cold showers. Overall a pleasant and convenient place to stay if you're headed to Launceston.

We enjoy living in Launceston as it is a beautiful city with lots of features and culture to be part of but it is still very easy to get everywhere. We have 4 cats, love to garden , travel and renovate houses.
