This old-fashioned cozy cottage, nearly 500 sq ft, is located in a quiet neighborhood w/a large living/dining area, full kitchen, 3/4 bathroom & washer & dryer! There is a queen bed in the bedroom & a comfy hide-a-bed couch in the living room. We share our fully fenced yard with your kids & pets and you'll have your own off-street parking spot! This cottage is your home-away-from-home and is an ideal place for longer stays. It's like coming home to "Grandma's Cottage" See more info below

The space
This was the original carriage house for our 1890 home which sits on the same property. We are available for your assistance, and, also provide total privacy. The cottage has it's own entrance and dedicated parking.
Due to the Corona Virus the nightly/monthly price has been discounted dramatically, so as not to be a burden on those who wish to shelter-in-place in "Grandma's Cottage". The reduced price still includes all utilities and dedicated wifi and household essentials such as toilet paper, laudry and dish soap, etc.
We welcome fur babies, and children, but only a maximum of 2 adults occupancy, and no more than 2 children or 2 fur-babies - the occupancy maximum is 4 total, including fur babies. And each fur baby is an additional $50/month or $5/fur baby/night, they are counted as a children/guests and the fur-baby's person is responsible for them as other guests.
We also guarantee the cottage is booked ONLY to guests who are completely non-tobacco smokers, and, since we this cottage is located in Oregon, we are 420 friendly.
The kitchen is stocked with all stainless steel pots and pans and glass bakeware. We provide organic coffee and tea, and biodegradable, plant-based laundry soap for the duration of your stay. We composte your non-meat and dairy food products.
We ask our guests to respect state and city ordinances and to be mindful of our grandchildren who visit once a week and once a month on a weekend, and may be playing in the yard or on our back or front porch. We look forward to being your neighbors :-)

Guest access
The cottage is situated at the rear corner of our fully fenced double lot in a quiet neighborhood. We live in front on the property in the main 1890 Home, as seen in the photos. We are happy to share the yard in front of the cottage with your children.
Private parking and access to the cottage via the alley.

Other things to note
We promise that our cottage is a non-tobacco smoking dwelling and are very strict about this policy. So we can keep this promise, we ONLY book to guests who are non-tobacco smokers - this also means that we do not book to guest who smoke tobacco off the premises - we only book with guests who do not smoke tobacco at all. The person who books the cottage is responsible to make sure their guests are non-tobacco smokers also.

Location

Exact location provided after booking.

Roseburg, Oregon, United States

We are located 1 mile off the I-5 fwy and are at the hub/gateway to several must-see destinations including, Waterfalls, Umpqua Hot Springs, Diamond Lake, Crater Lake, Wildlife Safari, Rivers and Resevoirs for water sport and fishing, 7-Feathers Casino and 1.5 hours to the Oregon Coast.
Our block and neighborhood is very quiet - most of the residents are retired and a few are young families with kids that are well behaved and loved.
We are located in the historic district and are close to downtown Roseburg that has quaint shops and restaurants. Roseburg is a small town, but we have a variety of ethnic restaurants including Greek, Thai, Indian, Chinese and Mexican and we are just big enough to host a Costco!

Family is one of our shared and highest values - which is a good thing because we have 11 grandchildren! This is why we block out our Airbnb rooms one weekend a month so the grandkids are guaranteed Grandma time! We are both self-employed and enjoy variety in our schedules - I am a life coach for women and Kim is a "Jackie of all trades". It is important to us that we work only as much as we want and we play as much as we want as well and being Airbnb hosts gives us that opportunity. Our life mott is, "We only do what we really want to do!" And, we love sharing our home with old and new friends in our home, so Airbnb is a perfect fit for us. We are happy to be your host for your next stay in Roseburg, Oregon - which is really close to Wildlife Safari and several amazing outdoor adventure destinations.

We provide total privacy and total support.
Our home is on the property, but we give our guest complete privacy.
We don't interact with guest except to greet them or unless the guest request something. The only exception is that we periodically check-in with long term guests to see if they need anything such as more toilet paper, laundry soap, etc.
