The space

BEDROOM
Your bedroom is located on the first floor of the house.
The bedroom has a large wardrobe with hangers, a desk and a double bed with fresh bed linen and comfortable mattress.
(We would like to point out that the double bed is a small double i.e. the width is 15 cm less than a standard double bed, so not much of a difference but we prefer to make you aware in advance. All couples/friends staying with us have told us this was not an issue at all. We used it ourselves for 3 months and left comfortable.)

BATHROOM
The bathroom is on the same floor.
We have our own ensuite on the second floor so this bathroom is for guests only.
Note that we are renting 2 bedrooms so you may have to share the bathroom with other AirBnB guests if the second room is booked at the same time.

Note that there is also a separate toilet on the ground floor that you are more than welcome to use.

We are providing fresh towels, toilet paper, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, hair dryer, hair straightener, so you can travel light!

Guest access
.
On the ground floor, we are happy to share our lounge, kitchen and garden.

You also have access to washing machine and dryer. We will provide washing liquid. Drying rack, ironing board and iron are available.

Other things to note
.
TEA/COFFEE
Help yourself to tea/coffee anytime. We have a cafetiere (coffee press) as well as a Delonghi espresso machine for espresso lovers! There is a steamer for those who prefer cappuccinos or lattes.

DOG
We have a cute 1 year old Patterdale Terrier who is super friendly.

CHECK-IN
The check-in time is ideally after 3pm (to ensure your room is ready), however, you are more than welcome to come earlier to drop your bags and even chill in the lounge.

Our house is located in the peaceful neighbourhood of Wimbledon Park, from where you can walk to the famous Wimbledon courts and to the quintessential Wimbledon village.

Thanks to the district line, you can easily get to central London in 30/45 minutes, depending on where you go.

There are supermarkets 5-minute walk from the house. If you want to stop by a coffee shop, go to “saucer + cup”. They do nice cakes and sandwiches. They are on the way to the tube station. For a more substantial meal, on the other side of the high street, there is “Casa”, a casual Argentinian restaurant where you can have brunch as well.

For more places to eat out, I would recommend to go Wimbledon.
There are 2 main areas in Wimbledon.
The first one, Wimbledon Town, is the closest from home and has many shops and restaurants. Guests are always impressed by the large choice Wimbledon offers. It is like a city of its own.
For a more special dinner, we like going up to Wimbledon Village.
The area is super cute and there is plenty of lovely restaurants.
One of our favourite pub there is “Fox & Dog”, we love going there for Sunday Roast (a very British tradition). They have a great vegetarian option too.

Wimbledon Village is right next to Wimbledon Common, which is a huge park ; almost a little forest. It is surreal to have this in London! We absolutely love going there for long walks, it is beautiful and so peaceful.

*WIMBLEDON TENNIS COURTS*

From our house, it takes 25 minutes to walk to the tennis courts. It is a nice walk as you walk past Wimbledon Park high street and then cross through Wimbledon Park where tennis fans without ticket queue from.

I am French and my husband is Greek/British. We’ve been living in London for 10 years. We love sharing a good dinner with friends, go on a long walk on a sunny autumn afternoon, laughing out loud, changing the world over a glass of red wine, experimenting new recipes, stopping the car to take a good photo...
