Great location
95% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
'Waterside Studio' is a well appointed apartment in an annexe to the main house, but with private access. It is situated in a quiet part of a unique village, which has a sea dock, adjacent to the Lune Estuary and canal basin on a branch arm of the Lancaster Canal. Ideal for walkers, cyclists, bird watchers and anyone who likes all aspects of wildlife, boating and the sea. We are 5 m. south of the historically important University town of Lancaster. The village has a pub, village store and cafes.

The space
The accommodation is self-contained and accessed from a rear patio door. The key is located in a key safe adjacent to the entrance. We have agreed to follow the Air BnB enhanced cleaning and sanitisation policy. Our cleaning standards are always exceptionally high, a factor supported in our excellent reviews. Clean bedding and towels will always be available along with tea and coffee making facilities, in addition to a range of breakfast cereals, bottled water, fruit juice and croissants / brioche rolls. There is also a microwave oven, toaster and Fridge. The freezer is not intended for use by guests but can be by arrangement with the owner.
There is a TV with Sky Q in the living space but no sport or films I’m afraid.

Glasson Dock, England, United Kingdom

Glasson is situated to the south of Lancaster which is a city of historical importance dating back to Roman times. Glasson Dock was established in 1787 and became a prominent port until Liverpool took over. We are located approximately 250 metres from the village centre. Glasson has a pub called The Dalton Arms which serves food. There is a village shop which acts as a newsagents and convenience store selling takeaway food, a café called 'The Lantern' and 'The Lock Keeper's Rest' caravan, serving food, tea coffee and ice cream etc. There is a Post Office operating in the Village Hall on Monday and Thursday between 12.30 and 4 pm. There is a bus service operating every 1-2 hours to and from Lancaster. The last bus back is at 6.20 pm. There is no bus service on Sunday. It is necessary to travel into Lancaster in order to catch a second bus to the University. It is possible to walk into Lancaster via the Millennium path and cycleway along the bank of the River Lune. A distance of approximately 4.5 miles. Two other pubs and restaurants, 'The Stork' ( sadly currently being renovated after a major fire.)
and 'Thurnham Mill' are both one mile away. They can be reached by car or on foot, along the canal towpath, or the Millenium Pathway, a former railway line. There is fishing available in the nearby freshwater basin (100 metres) and the canal, also sea fishing in and around the dock and estuary. The River Lune is a triple SSI and in
addition to the estuary, Morecambe Bay is a very important place for wildfowl and wading birds. There is a RSPB reserve within one mile of the apartment, with a hide to facilitate bird watching by a pool and over the marshes. Lancaster University and especially the Ruskin Library and Art Gallery plus incredible sports facilities, including an Olympic sized pool, is 4 miles away. Morecambe, an important Edwardian sea-side resort, complete with an amazing Art Deco hotel -‘The Midland' is well worth a visit. Morecambe is 8 miles away. We are so close to the Bowland Fells (8 miles)and The Yorkshire Dales (15 miles) and Cumbria is literally only 15 miles away, with the Lake District 30 miles away. Blackpool is approx. 20 miles away. Preston the same. We are situated about 3.5 miles from the M6 motorway. The nearest supermarket is 4 miles away.
