"The Best Kept Secret in Park Slope!" writes a recent guest.
Ideally situated on First St, in the heart of trendy Park Slope close to 5th Avenue, we offer a freshly painted sunny bedroom on the top floor of our 1888 one family brownstone.
The light filled room overlooks a quiet tree lined street. Guests have their own entrance to the house “up the stoop” (at the second floor level). Although the third floor guests rooms are separated from the family space, there is no division from our family home. Please be aware that we have a steep but carpeted staircase with a solid bannister to the top floor.
There is a spacious bathroom with an extra wide mirror and double hand basins, hair dryer and radio.
A separate toilet room with small hand basin.
Both are private for guest use only.
We supply fresh linens and towels, shampoo and soap.
Washer / dryer near the bathroom is available for a reasonable charge, including detergent.
The bedroom sleeps two and has the original shutters, comfortable full sized bed with duvet, desk and chair, armchair, large closet space, two chests of drawers, luggage rack, mirror, air conditioning, ceiling fan, good internet and wifi reception, mini fridge, coffee maker and electric kettle. We provide bottled water, china cups, plates, bowls, silverware, napkins, a selection of tea bags, instant coffee and a bowl of fruit. Paper goods and coffee filters are kept in top drawer of dresser. For light sensitive guests we cover the shutters with black felt. Guests are welcome to bring food and refreshments back to the room.
Traveling with friends, family or children? We have an additional large bedroom with double bed available on the same floor which can sleep two. An extra fold out bed is available and a baby's cot. We also have a small room with a single bed on this floor. Each person using these rooms carries an additional nightly fee to be agreed upon in advance.
