Benbecula is the central island in the Uists, famous for its beautiful white sand beaches, its sea lochs and its associations with Bonnie Prince Charlie. For fantastic views of the whole archipelago climb Reuval, Benbecula's highest (and only!) hill. Alternatively take in a round at the island's 9-hole course. North and South Uist are both only a short drive away while longer day trips will take you to the Isles of Barra or Harris.

Hi my name is Harry. Originally born in South Africa after my parents moved there for work, I spent many years travelling between the UK and SA. After leaving high school I came back to the UK and started working on commercial fishing boats in Wales, where my family originates from. Because of my links with the fishing industry (and having previously taken family holidays on the islands) I took a job on the Uists aboard a boat and fell in love with the place. I have grown very fond of the people and the way of life here. I am now engaged, live on my partner's family croft and work for a local satellite engineering company. My work takes me all over the islands on a weekly basis, so I get to enjoy the entire Hebrides in all seasons.

I am available via phone or email 24hrs. Our cleaner lives a few doors down and is always happy to meet guests the same day to show them around the house. I myself live on the island only 15 mins up the road.
