WHIMSICAL MAY COTTAGE, offering sweet serenity and a Temple view from every window!

The space
May Cottage, nestled in pines within quaint stone walls, sits directly across the street from the historic 1888 Manti Temple, literally a few moment's walk away. This cozy cottage has been lovingly remodeled from the peak of the steep roof down to the detailed baseboards. The great room combines a small kitchen, dining nook, and rock-walled family room. Next door is the light & airy bathroom. Step through another doorway into the living room where you can relax on the couch or continue up the winding stairway to the delightful loft bedroom/sitting area. Step out on the balcony to soak in the sun by day or gaze at the glowing Temple by night. Should you choose time outside, feel free to play frisbee on the lawn or build a fire to roast marshmallows while chatting with family or friends.

Where you’ll be

Manti, Utah, United States

May Cottage sits on a quiet corner across from the Manti Utah Temple and the Family History Library and Distribution Center. There are church owned fields of manicured grass directly across the street if you want to toss a football or enjoy a game of frisbee. You may wish to take a relaxing stroll through the beautiful Pioneer Heritage Center and Gardens with its unique reflecting pool or, for more robust fun, walk 1/2 block west to the Manti City Pool or Fair Grounds which host the fair, rodeos, and demolition derbies. The Cottage is also within walking distance of various restaurants, parks, shops, museums, and the library. Or, have a great time hiking, fishing or 4-wheeling in the mountains a block to the east.

My name is Tami. I am a native to Utah, taught 4th grade, and have 4 children. I absolutely love old homes! This delightful cottage belonged to my father's beloved college dorm Mom, Jean May. He and the other boys loved her so much and would help her fix up the house on weekends as she was a widow. My Dad used to take our family by it and tell us stories about Jean May when we went for drives in the area. Years later, my husband and I were thrilled when the opportunity arose to buy the home. We remodeled it top to bottom and lovingly named it May Cottage in her honor.
