Drumlins is a comfortable and accessible one-bedroom cottage located on a peaceful country lane just outside Kendal, near the picturesque village of Endmoor.

Its central location makes it ideal for those who wish to explore both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Parks, as well as some beautiful, quieter areas of Cumbria. Drumlins is also well connected. It is just five minutes from Junction 36 of the M6, seven minutes from Oxenholme Main Line train station, a ten-minute drive into Kendal - and there are beautiful walks and cycle routes straight from the door!

Entry is via a hallway (very handy for those walking boots!). Once you are inside you will find that the cottage is all on one level with wheelchair friendly wide doors.

The newly decorated lounge is lovely, light and spacious, with a comfy reclining chair and sofa which folds out into a double sprung sofa-bed, ideal for kids. To the side of the room are the dining table and chairs. A flat-screen TV and a network-enabled Blu-ray/DVD player is available which also gives access to BBC iPlayer and YouTube. The TV has a range of connection options, including HDMI, so that you can hook up your own devices.

The kitchen is well stocked with everything you should need. It has a gas hob, electric fan oven, fridge freezer, a microwave, washing machine, tumble drier and a dishwasher. There are two stools available should you wish to keep the chef company!

The bedroom has a comfortable king size bed and plenty of cupboard storage. Guests will enjoy the lovely views of the garden and the farmland beyond. All bed linen is included.

The bathroom has a toilet (with handy grab rail), a basin, bath and separate shower with a seat. Towels are provided for guests.

To the rear of the cottage is an enclosed patio garden with table and chairs. There are raised beds with flowers and herbs and bird feeders with many, varied visitors. Drumlins is set within the large grounds of our home, Low Park Farm. Surrounding it are almost one and a half acres of beautiful gardens, parts of which you are welcome to explore.

Parking for two cars is available at the front of the cottage and there is also a hosepipe available for washing boots, bikes etc. Secure lock-up is available for bicycles if required.

WiFi is available throughout the cottage and there is a strong 4g mobile signal with most networks.

Local area:
We are nestled in a beautiful, peaceful spot with wonderful, rolling countryside (that will be all those Drumlins!) all around. A stroll up the lane will give you great views of the fells of the Lake District and the Howgills.

Here is a list just some of the places that are nearby and how long it should take you to drive to them:

The village of Endmoor with its shop, bakery, pub and canal side walks...less than a mile
Kendal, with great shops, restaurants, museums, arts centre and supermarkets... 10 mins
Lake district National Park with all its attractions... 10 mins
Yorkshire Dales National Park... 20 mins
The coast... 10 mins - yes, strange but true!
The city of Lancaster... 20 mins
Sedbergh, a national book town... 20 mins
Sizergh Castle, a wonderful National trust property... 5 mins
Levens Hall with its amazing topiary gardens... 5 mins
There are also three fabulous farm shops very close by: Kitridding, Sizergh and Plumgarths.

The space
The cottage is on the ground floor with level access and is therefore suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Guest access
Although the cottage is situated between two other buildings, guests have full exclusive use of the cottage as well as the extensive and established shared gardens.

Other things to note
Please note that the cottage sleeps up to 4 people utilising the double bedroom and the double sofa bed in the living room.
