The space

Casa Faranda is a place of peace and silence in an ancient residence, composed of two bodies of the sixteenth and seventeenth century, in that of Castroreale, a hillside village between Capo di Milazzo and the Gulf of Patti in front of the Aeolian Islands. The house has three bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms, each with its own peculiarity and emotion. The warm "Tuorlo room" with a double bed and a 1/2 square bed on a mezzanine, painted with pigments and polished with beeswax, natural resin floor, in the bathroom turning a handle spills water from a Masquerade of the late '700, the room opens onto a small, ceiling-free room from which to admire the stars in a dark sky. The charming "Sunset room" with double bed and single bed, painted with natural pigments and polished with beeswax, wooden floor and natural resin, 1649 wooden roof, sink in the early 1900s, shower with walls in Stone and brass, opens onto the terrace with a view to the west, where you can enjoy a sunset between the Aeolian Islands, with a view from Capo Tindari and the Marinello lakes at Capo Milazzo and the Artichoke Reserve, sitting on an ancient Jumper on the ancient wall walls. The fresh "Cisterna Room" with a double bed supported by two iron propellers, the room features water in every detail, a 1907 marble whitewater bathtub lying in an exciting blue wall over the colored sea with natural pigments, Two beamed polished walls, a wall covered by early 1900's doors, with paintings and mirrors, a natural resin floor, a sink made of an old basin supported by iron trims, antique gems and old lamps of Tugboats, overlooking the quiet lanes of the country. Every detail is taken care of to accommodate the visitor in an outdated environment where an old iron bowl, used for laundry, becomes a bath or kitchen sink or a damper for aquarium wine with papyrus and red fish. Recycle objects and materials to find new practical and aesthetic features, according to our vision of the useful and delightful. The rooms are built on 2 levels, connected by an internal staircase, in the upper floor a large entrance hall, 1571 tank cistern, 3 en-suite bedrooms, a living room with wooden ceiling from 1649 and half-length piano, panoramic terrace with deck Seven sisters, the Aeolian Islands, with a view from Capo Tindari and the ponds of Marinello headed by Milazzo and the Artichoke Reserve, to the east of the church of Santa Marina dating back to the 16th century; Downstairs the kitchen, tavern and the "jugroom" or music to cool off during the hot days of the Sicilian summer and play with the tools at your disposal. Silence, peace and inspiration for your own creation and imagination. Open spaces for bodily awareness training, creative dance, theater, dance-theater, contemporary dance, photo books, music labs and music, clay, recycle art, batik courses, sewing and kitchen with residents of Place, osteopathy sessions, ayurvedic and thai massages, performances, concerts and music. Mountain biking, trekking and hiking trails are possible. It is possible to book the rooms in co-house through other unnuncis on the Airbnb portal.

We loved to stay at Pierfrancesco and Giorgia's place. It's a wonderful and unique place. They are wonderful hosts. They made not only a luxurious flat, but made it a great experience. We arrived to a lonely street in the picturesque and idyllic Castroreal. Pierfrancesco let us in and the smiles instantly broke across our faces. The flat is not only lovely, it's an experience. Three rooms each with their own unique style and feel and all equally beautiful. The kitchen looks like something out of a Flemish painting. The balcony and outside sitting area are wonderful places to relax and have a glass of wine or two! Last but not least Pierfrancesco and Giorgia are lovely hosts that make you feel at home and offer great tips for the area of Sicily. Definitely book!

Pierfrancesco was a delightful host! The house which he has created is a work if art. You could spend days looking and finding some new eccentricity...and we did! Castroreale is a delightful hilltop town with wonderful views and plenty to explore. The beds were firm...which we liked but our friends found theirs a bit hard. If you are going for a quality aesthetic experience then this house is perfect. The courtyard off the living room is a beautiful breakfast experience and would be a lovely shady place to be in the middle of summer.

Ci ritorneremo, grazie
