The guestroom is spacious and bright, facing the south. It has two twin beds and a comfortable airbed can be provided if you are three travellers. It also has its own bathroom a few steps across the hall; WiFi and Free Parking right in front of our building. The apartment itself is located on the 6th floor with elevator in a residential and quiet, yet central area - it is only 15 walking minutes south of famous shopping center KaDeWe.
The apartment itself is spacious, with an open kitchen. It is on the top floor and has a glass elevator for easy access. The furnishing and design are very modern. Free parking right in front of our house. There is a childrens playground nearby which may be somewhat louder during the day time.
Our guests have access to their guest room (24sqm) and guest bathroom. Towels and bed linen, cutlery, plates etc. are provided. We also have a washing machine and dryer that you can use. In general, you can use all utilities that our place has to offer.
Interaction with guests
Since I do also have to go to work I will not be in the apartment all day, but at other times we will share the apartment.
Other things to note
The neighborhood is a quiet residential area, but the hustle and bustle of Kreuzberg, Mitte or Prenzlauer Berg is not so far away. Public transportation is very good and easy in Berlin. If you want to visit the Dome on the Reichstag you need to register before you get there, sometimes weeks in advance. So be sure to check on that. Also, if you want to visit the TV tower you may want to book the tickets online in advance to avoid long lines.
Smoking is allowed on the terrace. No illegal down-loads through the WiFi-Connection - Germany has very strict rules! In Germany, we take off the shoes when we enter someones apartment.

My life motto is: treat people the way you want to be treated, and do it first. So I like to host people and provide a safe, clean and interesting visit to Berlin. My partner Jim and I have bought this place in 2006 and we do have a quite large guest room which hosts three people. When we are out of town we can also leave our whole apartment for families with children or two couples, for example. In my first job I worked as a classical ballet dancer at the German State opera, but when getting older I had to find something new. So I studied Economics and Psychology at Lewis&Clark College in Portland, Oregon, USA and have lived there for almost 5 years. My travels have brought me to almost all over Europe, the US, Caribbean, Australia, Asia, Africa and even to the sub polar Region of Russia, where we experienced a chilly -44 Celsius in Yakutsk in January 2008. In my free time I work as a volunteer in care giving for dying people in a Hospice-network in Berlin.
