Guest access
Located 15 minutes from Banff, and approximately one hour from Calgary, this home away from home comes with a fully equipped kitchen and a lovely covered patio with BBQ and seating to enjoy the mountain air. Our apartment is stocked with locally made, 100% natural bath and body products. The entire apartment is kept clean using only eco-friendly cleaning products (no nasty chemicals here!). An umbrella and rain coats are available should you need them.

The apartment is best suited for couples, but there is extra accommodation for two in the comfy sofa bed if you need it. The indoor water park is a welcome place to revive sore muscles after a day of adventure, and if you want to work off dinner, there is a small but functional gym in the building on the third floor. Can't be bothered walking to town? There's a fabulous restaurant on the ground floor!

Canmore offers loads of opportunities for the adventurous and serene alike. Hike, bike, climb, ski, white water raft or canoe, and when you need a little downtime, settle with a picnic blanket and a book in a park besides the river in summer, or cozy up in front of the fire in winter.

Other things to note
*Disclaimer for guests booking from March 4th and onwards*
The building will undergo a hallway renovation project beginning in March. The project will likely take 2-3 months, during which there will be a period where guests are asked to leave the door open for the contractors to do their work. I will message the guests who might impacted by this ahead of time.

ABOUT CANMORE

The Best of the Canadian Rockies
Banff National Park is billed as "the world's finest National Park" for good reasons. It is picturesque to the extreme, with wildlife viewing opportunities, 360 degree mountain views and noble peaks in every direction. Canmore is a sister community to Banff, just minutes outside of the Park gates. Canmore's dining scene is the best in the Canadian Rockies and is complemented by fantastic shopping and great opportunities for outdoor adventure. Grande Rockies Resort is ideally suited to take advantage of both Banff and Canmore.

About the Rockies
The Rocky Mountains touch The Yukon Territory, British Columbia and Alberta
The Alberta Rocky Mountains house Canada's first national Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Banff National Park (1885). The highest mountain in the Rockies is Mount Robson in British Colombia (3945 M). The Rocky Mountains are 120 million years old. The tallest mountain in Alberta is Mount Colombia (3747 M). The Rocky Mountains were created by the pressure built up from the collision between the Pacific and North America tectonic plates.

Canmore is approximately a 10 minute drive from the gates of the Banff National Park. The Bow Valley Provincial Park is only 25 km east of Canmore. The park is home to award-winning interpretive shows and guided interpretive hikes, and seasonal golden eagle migrations (open May - October). Canmore is home to the year-round Nordic Centre Provincial Park. In the winter visitors enjoy the recently upgraded cross-country ski facilities and in the summer try the mountain bike paths and disc-golf. The elevation of Canmore is 1350 meters (4300 feet). The elevation of Banff is 1350 meters (4300 feet).

Hiking
Grande Rockies Resort is well situated to access world famous hiking in Canmore, Lake Louise, and of course Banff. Try a hike up Tunnel Mountain to get great views of Banff, tackle The Plain of the Six Glaciers in Lake Louise, or, if you’ve brought some younger kids along, try the sweet, Grassi Lakes circuit.
