Interaction with guests
I respect each persons personal preference for interaction and are up for socializing, especially if you have questions about the area. If you prefer privacy, we understand completely and will respect that, too. Just let me know your preference. I want you to feel at home while you're here and hope that your stay and time here will be a tremendous blessing to you.
Other things to note
This house is a great place to stay for Bethel Conferences due to its proximity to the church. It is within walking distance with one path through a wooded area that is approximately a mile and another path along the main road that is approximately 1.2 miles to Bethel.
Basically, be respectful of others here in the common areas.
I have been a university professor of music, art, and education with a a passion for world travel, outdoor adventures, healthy eating, and visiting the gym. I have also done all three years of BSSM (Bethel church) and work in their first year program for a revival group pastors as a counselor.
I know Redding very well having lived here over 19 years and will show you around the area and help find places you are looking for. As well, I will help you with some of your transportation needs while you stay here.
I am easy going, enjoy conversing with guests, cooking, chocolate, craft beer, and most deserts (hence the need for the 'gym'). I have provided rooms to rent for visitors for over 10 years and have many returning patrons from the USA and around the globe.
I particularly enjoy ministry and traveling the world. I have a heart for Europe and have traveled there many years by myself and leading students on tours. I have recently taken time to see more of the United States appreciating its vast beauty, culture, cuisine, and history.
I maintain a clean and tidy home and will usually be out of sight most of the time. I like my guests to have space and experience quiet time to feel at home and be comfortable here. This is a place where you can have quiet retreat after your busy days at Bethel and experiencing some of the many things Redding has to offer.
My home is situated in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood conveniently near a creek, forest, trails, and shopping areas within walking distance. It is also one mile to Bethel church and two miles to Simpson University and downtown shopping.
I invite your questions before and during your stay to help solve your travel needs. Feel free to write me as you wish. Blessings and favor as you realize your dreams.
