The cottage is located on part of the "seven mile miracle" which hosts the world's most premier surfing competitions including the Super Bowl of wave riding- The Vans Triple Crown of Surfing. Our home is only steps to a beautiful uncrowded beach and two great surf breaks! Off street parking included! We pride ourselves in keeping a very clean home!

The space

Beach towels are provided to save you space in your luggage. Coffee in the AM to help you get over any jet lag ;) Laniakea (turtle beach), Sunset Beach, Pipeline, Ted's Bakery, Shark's Cove, and Waimea Bay are a short 5 minute drive or LESS away. We are 10 minutes to Haleiwa town for shopping and restaurants. Only a few steps to our neighborhood beach with a great surf break right out front and sheltered swimming area for others.

Our yard which the deck overlooks has been lovingly landscaped by us and it is filled with fruiting citrus, pineapples, ginger, hibiscus, jasmine and plumeria. If you are lucky to be staying with us when the night blooming jasmine is in bloom then you are in for a real treat! :)

We live on the property but have our own entrance, living space and own bathroom. We do utilize the kitchen for preparing meals so you will see us there! :) We really try to give guests as much privacy as possible and let you dictate how much interaction you want.

This room was originally the master bedroom so it is quite spacious. Ceiling fan, "vornado" fan and amazon fire TV with Netflix app in each room. Spacious closet with hangers to help you organize.

The guest bathroom is shared with the other guest room. Guests may have a private bathroom some nights if the other room is not occupied. This happens probably 50% of the time.

Our home was built in 1952 and has all the charms of "Old Hawaii".

Guest access

Guests have access to the kitchen for preparing snacks and light meals, the main living area of the house, (we have a private living space in the back) and a spacious deck area for lounging or dining. Private off street parking included. (Rare for budget accommodations in the area!!)

Interaction with guests

We live on the property but have our own entrance, living space and own bathroom. We do utilize the kitchen for preparing meals so you will see us there! :) We really try to give guests as much privacy as possible and let you dictate how much interaction you want. We're happy to give recommendations on adventures to have and things to eat!

We loved the room here! Aunt Laurie was wonderful & welcoming and we felt very "at home". We messed up and thought we were supposed to check out on Wednesday, but it wasn't until Thursday. So she prepared the room, just in case we didn't come back, and once we realized our mistake we gave her a quick text and came back. Overall it was an awesome stay!

We had an amazing time in this space... it's like being home, but with the beach at your front door! The bed is super comfy, but we would definitely recommend leaving the windows open in the day to keep down the humidity! SO close to everything, and truly the most chill vacation spot imaginable. Lawson's aunt was so lovely, and super helpful! The best part is being a five minute drive from the food trucks and Banzai beach aka THE spot to watch the surfers. Highly recommend the food truck there called Ahi Limo

great place!!! thanks for a great couple of days!! that beach is amazing, and the turtles are everywhere!! the swell on the north shore was a bit too big for our blood, but the surfing crowds were out in full force for a great show. thanks again!!

Great place to stay on the North Shore! Very clean and cozy house...feels like home away from home. Lawson and Amy were very helpful and kind. We got a lot of suggestions from them regarding where to go, eat, drink, etc. Their dog is super chill and cute too. An awesome Airbnb experience!

I love living in Hawaii and try to enjoy an active outdoor life style. Daily walks on the beach and enjoying the surf when possible are just a few things that make this place so special.
