We are a creative family offering comfortable accommodation in our home, built in the 1870s with period features and beautiful original ornate Victorian cornice decoration. You have a large light 32 sq meter room that has a very comfy double bed and a single bed. You have access to your own large relaxing living room full of vintage charm. There is off road parking and we are well located for golfing in Carnoustie or St Andrews.

The space
Breakfast is served in the Orangery where you will be bathed in sunlight and can relax in this green space surrounded by a variety of plants. Breakfast is a continental style with cereals, fruit, yoghurt, pastries or toast and of course marmalade as your in Dundee and indulging in an Orangery. Your room has its own fridge and milk tea coffee and biscuits are provided. Should you have an early start and require a breakfast tray just let me know in advance.

Guest access
You have a very large bedroom 32 sq meters but should you want to use the living room to relax in it is just across the hall from your bedroom. The bathroom is opposite your bedroom and the orangery ajoins the yellow lounge for breakfast. There is a back door at the kitchen if you are using the off road parking.

Other things to note
There are two steps at front and back door and one step to access the orangery everything else is all on one level. We have a friendly family cat.

We are in the conservation area of Maryfield with two very lovely parks close by, historic Baxter park designed by Joseph Paxton possibly one of the most important Victorian Park designers and Stobswell park with its pretty duck ponds and rose garden are less than 5 minutes away both with great childrens play parks. There is a beautiful Pavillion in Baxter park and Tennis courts. A morning run there is invigorating and I have even seen woodpeckers amongst the wild life. Mains Castle with its woodland walk by a stream join onto a golf course 10 minuets away. A collection of Independent shops and cafes can be found in Stobswell some of which have been family owned for over 80 years.
A co-op, Spar, Morissions and Lidl are all a short walk away. The Morrisons and the Lidl are large and well stocked.

During your stay
We are available and on hand for anything you should need. We relocated here from London and as such we have been researching the local area and visitor attractions over the last 9 months and happy to pass on our recommendations. We originally both studied at the Art college in Dundee Duncan of Jordanstone so we can keep you informed about exciting creative Dundee. Equally, we are happy for you to relax and enjoy your own space. We have a lovely Garden should you wish to enjoy it.
I run bespoke jewellery classes in the Orangery attached to the Villa so should you want to book a class over your stay this is available on air bnb experiences. You can come away with a beautiful silver piece that you have crafted.
