About this listing

"B&B Antea" offers two quiet, scenic and beautifully furnished accommodations, that sleep 2 or 3 people per room, with private bathrooms, a comfortable lounge, equipped kitchen and panoramic terrace overlooking the Bay of Naples and Capri.

The space

"B&B Antea" is located in Torre del Greco, a charming town located on the slopes of Vesuvius overlooking the Bay of Naples.

We are in the middle of a Southern Italian paradise, east of the city of Naples and southwest of Sorrento. We are also a short drive from historic Pompeii and Herculaneum.

Torre del Greco is a maritime town, known worldwide for its hand-crafted jewelry such as cameos, pearls and coral.

Our apartment offers two quiet, scenic and beautifully furnished accommodations. The rooms sleep two/three people per room and there are private bathrooms.
The B&B also offers a comfortable lounge, equipped kitchen and panoramic terrace overlooking the Bay of Naples and Capri.

Mrs. Antonella will be happy to offer a warm welcome and comfortable stay to our B&B guests. We provide an Italian breakfast, including typical local pastries, and we are happy to help our guests plan their trip.

Guest access

The apartment will be fully accessible.

Interaction with guests

Guests will be welcomed by my mother, Antonella, who will be available to help them during their stay. You can request a taxi service for a fee to and from Naples airport or the train station in Naples. We offer free pick up from the station of Torre del Greco.

Other things to note

There's a guarded parking next to the apartment.
Free wifi in the apartment.

The appartment is very nice and spacious and has a wonderful balcony with a lovely view. It is located in an Italian neighbourhood, a bit noisy with scooters and cars, but nothing too much disturbing. While we stayed in the appartment, one of the two showers wasn't quite working. The other one only had a rainshower, which I personally don't like very much... and although our bedroom had an airco device, we didn't get it going... The appartment is safe, behind a closed gate and we used the guarded garage for the car with a very friendly man looking after it. The walk into town/harbour for dinner was quite long (more than 20 minutes one way) after a long, hot day in Pompeï, but the supermarket was nearby and we decided to buy some food an relax in the appartment. Antonella, Vakerio's mom, is a very nice woman, she really cares! Torre del Greco is not very special and we advise not to drive through that town and the next one on your way to Pompeï, since it was one big Italian traffic jam Better get on the motorway at junction Ercolano.

I always try to control everything and I didn't get in before complaints from guests but I will do so immediately.Torre is not a small country but it must be visited with calm,to admire the many glimpses of lanscape on the coast.

The entire area is poor but the appartent, the hostess (Valerio's mother, Antonella) and the parking service close to the building (Luigi) are excellent. In fact we became friends with Antonella due to i was speaking italian.

It is a spacious and comfortable apartment with nice big terraces and plenty of condiments. Herculaneum is almost walking distance away, Vesuvius is very easy to drive to from the apartment. Valerio's mother Antonella was helpful and caring.

Valerio's mother is very, very nice and helpful. The view of Naples Bay is beautiful. Everything is in working order. Some parts of Torre del Greco are run down.

The location was perfect to get to Naples, Pompeii, and Sorrento. The views from the apartment were very nice. The apartment is enormous, the pictures do not lie! All amenities are also provided and the fridge was stocked with plenty of breakfast foods.

Valerio and Antonella have excellent apartment with very good location for different touristic attractions. Appartment is somewhere in between of Napoli, Pompeq, Hercolano, Vesuvio, Sorrento, Ischia and Capri. Only 7 munites to Circumvesuviana train station. Apartment has 2 large bedrooms and bathrooms, very large hall room and kitchen. There are 2 balconies one of those with really nice view to Napoli. You can have a breakfast and dinner watching Napoli bay. Apartment is furnished with almost new furniture and marble floor. There are powerful airconditioners in every room. The only minus of the apartment is remoteness of the beach. Free beaches in Torre del Greco are really narrow and overcrowded. Sea is not clean. Paid beaches are also not good. This is not specific of the apartment, it is specific of Torre del Greco. There is no free and good beach in Torre del Greco, but it's possible to take bus to Litoranea. Takes 1 euro and 15 minutes. But if you would like to spent 50% of time on the beach and 50% going to tourist attractions it's still very good place. Valerio and Antonella are really nice people. With very fast reaction on our needs. They bought us some additional kitchenware and other things just the same day we asked.

One thing that confused me was that when I was considering booking the place, I was speaking only with Valerio. His English is very good, so that made me think that it would be easy to communicate with him while we were staying at the apartment. That's one of the reasons why we chose this place. However, soon after I had booked the apartment, Valerio informed me that his mother was the host, and she took over communication. She does not speak English very well, which made it harder for us to communicate during our stay. She still was very helpful, but we were expecting an English speaker and that's not what happened. Also, the B&B is accessible by train from Naples, but you can't come back too late (not past 9:30 PM really) or there will be no more trains. This limited our exploration in Naples. Overall, the apartment was very nice and Antonietta was very helpful, but we didn't like staying in the area of Torre del Greco because there was not much to do and it was far away from Naples, Sorrento, and other towns.

Response from Valerio:
Hi Sarah. I am really surprised by this your feedback, because the truth is that you have always written (a lot) to my mother since the first message, even if the signature was the mine to not create confusion. I gave her my airbnb contact, but she independently manages the account and the english used with you hasn't ever changed. She is obviously not an english native speaker but she never had problems to tell someone the most important things, even to english native speakers, as you can notice from all the other many feedbacks so far. She' s really very kind, available and able to make people understand her. Furthermore she had previously written to you the exact location of Torre del Greco, that is a perfect place to visit all the amenities of the area, because it is located exactly on the slopes of Vesuvius in the middle of the gulf between Naples (15 min by train), Herculaneum (only one station), Pompeii (only 10 minutes by train) and Sorrent (30 minutes by train). The truth is that there aren't important towns and areas of interest from which Torre del Greco is really afar. Besides after 9:30 pm there are many buses that replace the trains and allow people to reach Torre del Greco from Naples very fast. I really can't understand your criticism, because you asked my mother a lot of favors and moreover a lot of questions everyday (only in the written messages I can see a flood of question marks, 30 at least!) that she has always granted to you, among which one more night to stay. I think that you were too indecisive and maybe a bit restless, but I invite you to come back again with another mood and I'm sure that you will be able to appreciate more my fantastic area, in addition to the apartment.
