We enjoyed our stay at Richard and Robin's. The cabin is in a great location, just outside of Estes Park, on a private road just off the main highway. The cabin was clean and well equipped for a week for our family of 4, with everything we needed and enough room so we could relax after coming back from our days at the park. The cabin is on a river, which was great for the sights and sounds, but not the kind of water kids can play in - too big and fast for that. We enjoyed climbing the boulders and exploring behind the cabin instead. This is an older cabin and not a new condo in town, and the one challenge we had was with the water and sewer, which caused us some headaches. Overall a good experience and we'd stay again.

Response from Richard And Robin:
We canceled, after speaking with Will, because our calendar link was not synced properly because of another booking site. Another booking overlapped one day and Will was just fine with our request. Airbnb was working properly!

We had a truly relaxing time at River Retreat. The cabin was more than expected and was pristine. Even though it's on the hi way you can't hear the traffic because of the wonderful river sounds and beautiful and aromatic pine trees that completely block the view of the road. I highly recommend this lovely spot and look forward to our next visit!

Just spent four nights with my husband, daughter(8), and son(6) at the river retreat. The cabin was perfect for this length of stay with plenty of room for all (the bathroom is just a little small, but totally workable unless maybe you have a lot of teenagers). We loved being out of town but close enough to drive in for any activities easily. The backyard was a bouldering paradise with the front yard a fisherman's dream. We even saw a mama black bear and her two cubs walking down the drive one evening (apparently a rare sight)! Great grill and kitchen for cooking up the catch of the day and comfortable beds. Everything you'll need for a great time in Estes park!

Married fly fisherman that has owned the River Retreat cabin since 1995. I enjoy the West, and the tropics in the winter. Fishing is my hobby and fly fishing is great in Colorado and on the Big Thompson river though the trout are a bit smaller than in Montana they are in every way as beautiful! Fish and aquatic insects after the 2013 flood look great and are abundant! And yes, I enjoy the hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park and in the National Forest directly behind the cabin.
