This private tiny house includes fresh linens, dedicated Wi-Fi, a kitchenette, hot shower, flushing toilet, fire pit and porch. Comfortable for up to 5 people.

The space
A private bedroom includes a single over double bunk bed. The separate bathroom has a hot shower and great water pressure. The living room is equipped with a futon that can fold out to a full bed. The cottage has its own dedicated high speed Wi-Fi connection so it is possible to watch a movie on your tablet. Or you can get unplugged as the cabin is packed full of your favorite childhood board and card games as well as a nice collection of books.

We welcome pets.

Enjoy the tiny house amenities including a Keurig coffee maker complete with complimentary K cups. A refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and hotplates make preparing meals easy. (pots, pans and cooking/eating utensils are in the cabinets) The cabin is well insulated with comfortable thermostat controlled gas heat and air conditioning. Built by Jamaica Cottage Shop, a tiny home builder, this cozy and whimsical cabin is located on a quiet property in Jamaica, Vermont.

Gourmet dining and designer outlets are a close drive to Manchester, Vermont. Spend a day skiing on the slopes at one of the nearby ski resorts: Stratton (9 miles to access road), Bromley (18 miles), Mount Snow (20 miles), Magic Mountain (15 miles) or Okemo (30 miles). Hike or bicycle to one of the popular swimming holes, both Hamilton and Pikes Falls are very close. The two state parks Townshend and Jamaica have numerous overlook trails for hiking and the West River offers kayaking, rafting and tubing.

The quaint porch, with fantasy fairy lights, overlooks a magical garden of lilacs which bloom in June. Grill your dinner on the outdoor charcoal grill and then stroll around the yard and enjoy the secret garden, the chicken palace, or one of the park benches. It seems there is a surprise around every corner.

Please note:
For reservations booked in Vermont State on or after October first two thousand and sixteen, guests will see a charge for the occupancy tax. The tax will be listed separately and added to the total amount paid by guests on applicable stays.

Pets are welcome. Please note that the neighbor's dogs, who are friendly towards people and other dogs, are often over in our yard.

Walk out the door for an adventure on the West River Trail. Jamaica State Park is 2 miles from the studio. The two state parks Townshend and Jamaica have numerous overlook trails and the West River offers kayaking, rafting and tubing. Domenic is the founder and senior designer of Jamaica Cottage Shop, Inc., a national brand for timber frame kits, sheds, barns, and tiny houses. Domenic founded the company in 1995. Starting with dog houses, he expanded his skill set to post and beam cottages and sheds, learning about different building techniques while traveling all over the United States. Over time he grew the company from eight employees up to over eighty, with a catalog of over one-hundred building designs. His knowledge of the post and beam building industry is an accumulation of life experience and a business degree from Green Mountain College, where he graduated in 1991. As the President of Jamaica Cottage Shop Domenic enjoys working as the Senior Designer and expanding the company with a robust marketing program. In 2019 Jamaica Cottage Shop was recognized as the second fastest-growing company in Vermont by The Vermont Business Growth Awards and made the Inc. 5000 Most Successful Private Companies in America List. When Domenic is not planning his next cottage design he can be found snowmobiling or four-wheeling out in the wilderness, following Phish, or enhancing his rustic homestead in Northern Maine. You may also see him swiftly depart the property at any hour as a first responder and firefighter, Domenic has been a volunteer member of the Jamaica Volunteer Fire and Rescue department since 2012.
