The space

This large but cozy chalet has an open concept main floor with a large kitchen, dining area and living room which makes for a perfect venue for hosting large groups. The living room has a large wood burning fireplace, vaulted ceilings, and lots windows that bring in lots of natural light.Just off of the living room guests can retreat to the the hot tub room for some much deserved relaxation.
Upstairs there is five bedrooms each with a queen size bed. The master has an en-suite and sitting area with a great view of skiers getting on to the chair lift. One of the other bedrooms is also equipped with a balcony where guests can
For entertainment, guests can head down to the basement with an assortment of activities for both young and old. Guests can relax in the living room and watch some television, play a movie from our DVD collection or enjoy a video game on the Wii. Or head into the games room and enjoy some friendly competition at the Foosball table, air hockey table or choose from our selection of board games. In the basement there is an additional two bedrooms, one equipped with a single and double bed, the other equipped equipped with two singles and a double as well as an additional television.
The yard has space for groups to enjoy games such as bocce ball, badminton, or croquet. There is also a fire pit where you can pull up a chair and roast marshmallows. If you are looking to get closer to nature, this home is often visited by local deer and if you are lucky will let you get close enough to feed them.
The Eagle Lake public beach is about a 15 minute walk from the chalet or a 2 minute car ride. It is very kid friendly with 30 meters of sandy beach gradually sloping into water. There's a playground, boat launch, grass for picnics, and washrooms facilities on site.
Guest access
Guest will have full access to the chalet and all its amenities on-site including: indoor hot tub, games room and wood burning fire place. Wood is provided on site for your convenience.
Other things to note
We have a security camera on the exterior of the home for security and guest number confirmation.
When booking a holiday weekend guests are required to book the entire weekend.
Guests are not permitted to set a check out day on Christmas Day or New Year's Day.
Guests are to supply their own bed sheets, towels, and personal essentials including soap and paper towel.
For all the essentials during your stay you can visit Eagle Lake Country market less than 2 km up the road. It offers fresh baked goods, meats, and an assortment of produce. There is also movie rentals, gasoline, and a LCBO.
For some down time you can visit the Sir Sam's Inn and enjoy their world class restaurant, unique salt water spa and treatments for so much deserved pampering.
Take a short drive to the Haliburton Forest which offers: dog sled tours, a wolf centre with chance to view a wild wolf pack, ice fishing, ATV and snow mobile trails.
If you are looking to do something other than skiing, Sir Sam's offers snowshoe trails, and there are local cross country and snowmobile trails.
Local companies offer guided tours exploring much of what Haliburton has to offer including local attractions, ice climbing, sleigh rides, food, and so much more.
For the summertime, there is a a public beach five minutes down the road. In the spring, summer and fall Sir Sam's is open and offers bike and walking paths that you can enjoy right behind the home.
