1930 's home in the popular area of Tuindorp. Located opposite a small soccerfield where also a playground is for children! A 15-minute walk from the city centre and 5 minutes from station Overvecht. We have a lovely garden and an open kitchen, with oven, microwave, dishwasser, freezer, etc.
Utrecht is worth a visit, as it is historical, with nice canals and much to enjoy (restaurants, bars, terraces, etc)

The space

The living room is spacious, there is much light. We have an open-plan kitchen. In the backside of the room are sliding doors, so if it is warm you can open the door. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a fridge/freezer. Furthermore, all devices are present you will need for cooking, as a mixer, an orange press, coffee maker and a hand blender.
The House has a front yard. On the other side of the street is a playing field. At the back is a large garden, with gardenchairs and a table.

On the first floor are two bedrooms, a bathroom and a storage room. The first bedroom has a double bed and a sink. The second room has a single bed and a desk. The bathroom has a double sink, a toilet and a shower. On the third floor is a double room, with 2 double beds. There is also a washongmachine and a dryeer on this floor.

On the second floor is the washing machine and dryer. In addition there are two rooms, which are connected to each other with an open connection. In the first room there is a double bed and a washbasin. In the next room is a single bed.

Guest access

We rent our home if we are not there. The guests have the House to themselves. There is 1 small room closed for the guests.
The neighbourhood is very focused on children. Guests who love to party, we advise to look out for another property.

Interaction with guests

Upon arrival there will be someone at the house who will turnover the key and will point the way in the House. There is a manual with instructions about things in house, as thermostat, tv, oven, etc

When we arrived at this very bright and stylish house in a typical dutch neighbourhood we were pleasantly surprised with two nice bottles of wine on the table and some treats for the children. It felt like coming to the house of good friends. There is a great playground, soccer field, basketball court, table tennis act right across from the house. There are lots of children playing there so the kids made friends pretty fast. Its a quiet street so no worries to let them go out by themselves. The city centre is about 10 minutes on the bike and it is a very nice bike ride to get there. The house itself is as said spacious, bright and child friendly. We stayed there with 4 teenagers (who were happy with the excellent wifi!) and two younger children ( 8 & 10 ) and everybody had a great time. The garden is a perfect spot to sit and relax, have breakfast or supper. If you want to experience the real dutch way of living and be at a central location in Holland (we took the train to amsterdam, from the railway station thats a 5 min walk from the house, and it took us around 45 minutes, from when we left the home to the centre of amsterdam!) this is the perfect house. If we visit Holland again we'd love to stay in this house .

We had a very good holiday in Ceciel House. Her family welcomed us before going on holiday themselves, and even left us a nice rose arrangement on the dining table for our stay. Ceciel also supported us though text messages for small questions during the stay. The whole house was available to us, except for a small room. The rooms are quite big, and the house has a lot of charm, especially in the attic level. The location is great, within a walking distance to town centre, while Utecht, is located close to other interesting sites in the country. The garden is also a nice place to relax after visiting places.

Normally we do not write reviews, but in this case we really want to appreciate the wonderful host. The house gave a feeling of real home away from home with all the convenient and coziness you will expect from your home. The bus stop is around half a kilometer away and the nearest railway station Utrecht Overvecht is only 0.75 kilometer away. We had the whole house including the full kitchen to our self which was very convenient. The host was very easy to contact. Even though she was on an international trip during our stay she responded immediately whenever we requested some information or help. We will use the same place if we make a next trip to Utrecht. Real wonderful place to stay Kalyani

Wonderful holiday in a wonderful home. The house is really big and we were comfortably. The neighborhood is very quiet and in a great location for proximity to the center and the station of trains. I hope to come back and be able to meet Ceciel in person!

Ceciel was an excellent communicator waiting patiently for our arrival. The house was cozy and provided the seven of us with ample space to settle in for the New Year's events in the Amsterdam area. The community was wonderful with plenty of amenities nearby. Getting transportation into Amsterdam was very easy.
