Hope was an absolutely wonderful host! She and the rest of the staff made sure I was always comfortable and felt welcome, and it was lovely to talk with them. Also, as a girl traveling alone, I felt completely safe in the area. I would recommend staying here to anyone!!!

Welo Inn is a wonderful and friendly place to stay. We absolutley loved it and felt most welcome. Hope is a fantastic host and all the other staff has been so helpful to us. We stayed for the total of 4 weeks and we are very satisfied. Especially the location was perfect for us - only 10 minutes walk to Mulago hospital, where we did our internship as nursestudents. Also my patents visited us for a couple of days, and they really enjoyed it. We will all miss you very much!!

I recommend this listing for a number of reasons… location is near to Acacia Mall and Kisementi (on Mulago Hill), it is quiet at night, there is space and the house is kept clean. My room was large and well furnished with en suite bathroom and, I am pleased to say, good quality white cotton sheets. There is access to house staff to help with laundry. There is a good size fridge and kitchen all available to share together, and a communal room with TV and garden. The other important point for me was WiFi internet which works well. Also, my room had lots of cupboard space which is always useful, en suite bathroom and a large balcony with view. I have been very happy to stay with Hope and Francis, who looked after arrangements and picked me up in town while Hope was temporarily away. I have since been welcomed warmly by Hope herself. I would certainly be a return visitor.

I recently returned home after a wonderful month-long stay at the Welo Inn while working at Mulago Hospital. Less than a 10 minute walk from Mulago, the Welo Inn is a safe, ideal location for those working at the hospital. The Welo offers great access to the restaurants, coffee houses, supermarkets, shops, and boda and taxi stages of Kamwokya. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-kept, each with its own bathroom. The shared cooking, dining, living room space, and balconies helped me to settle in. Hope and her staff are very accommodating, focusing on the needs of their guests. The Welo Inn is a gem, and I look forward to returning on future trips to Kampala.

Hello there,
We are a couple who enjoy hospitality - We'lo Inn & Tours gives us the opportunity to do that.

So about Me( a pharmacist by profession woking with the government to supervise & monitor health service delivery countrywide.

I travel a lot to villages outside the city & have been almost everywhere in this grand beautiful country I call home! I love Uganda. I have also travelled quite a lot internationally including doing a 1 year masters in Manchester UK.

I am a christian - love God & people - people person would describe me. But I have an introvert nature; a love for the lonely untouched places on this beautiful earth. Although am a scientist by training, am an artist by heart! Love poetry & prose in competing measure! I write a lot - whether its publishable is something I haven't explored yet - maybe because as one friend pointed out - am an impulsive writer thus write too close to the subject...

And now an accountant/Auditor working with the government too. Am passionate about Agriculture; I grew up in a traditional African farm growing lots of food and keeping cattle and still love doing it.
Am a christian and love serving God in various ways eg am involved in community development initiatives & youth mentorship among others.

As a couple we respect the privacy of our guests but if you ask us, we do have a wealth of information we will be glad to share.

So do stay with us and give us an opportunity to do what we love - taking care of you.

David & Hope
