Thanks in advance!

Our Airstream is nestled among the trees in the corner of our property which slopes up and backs onto undeveloped woodlands.

At 34ft long, the Airstream comes with a comfortable queen size bed and a cozy L-couch seating area with wood fireplace. We provide everything you need to light a fire.

We designed the layout to be airy and bright, therefore there are no walls or doors separating the living from sleeping areas. We also do not provide window coverings for a minimalistic aesthetic and to allow the light in.

The bed is made up with quality sheets, cozy down duvet and pillows. The couch is suitable for 1 to sleep on. Extra linens, pillows, and comforter are provided.

The fully equipped kitchen has a 4 burner propane stove with a full size oven, a bar fridge with a small freezer, and a double sink with high quality, filtered, hot and cold drinking water. We’ve stocked the cupboards with dishes, pots, pans, French press, kettle, toaster, utensils and basic supplies including milk, butter, oil, balsamic vinegar, coffee, tea, sugar, honey, salt and pepper.

There is a closet, a 3 drawer dresser, plenty of room in the kitchen cupboards, as well as extra storage room under the bed and couch. The space might be small but it's efficient!

Your private heated bathroom is a short walk outside with sink, flushing toilet, and tiled shower with glass door. We supply towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hair dryer. There is a remote switch to light the path with string lights. We've provided a robe and an umbrella to make this walk more comfortable.

We provide a parking space for one vehicle next to the Airstream. If you have additional vehicles or guests please park on the road and walk up the relatively short but steep driveway.

We live on the property but have built privacy fencing to give us all designated areas where e can feel cozy and private. We provide a patio table and chairs.

Check-in 3 PM - 10 PM and check out by 11 AM

Additional information:

* LGBTQ+ friendly, come as you are!
* We are allies to BIPOC communities.
* There are no 24 hour stores, some places close as early as 5 PM.
* We welcome babies and children provided you understand you're staying in a small space. Note: We do not provide a bath tub, crib/cot, or a gate around the wood stove. If you're coming in the colder months I highly recommend you come either with babe in arms or older child who understand how to stay safe around a fireplace.
* Sorry, no pets, parties, or smoking on the property.
* There is a pad lock on your front door for piece of mind. Security isn't an issue on Salt Spring however.

Guest access
The Airstream is in the corner of our small property. Your designated area is divided by our driveway.

Other things to note
Our drive way is easily missed. We suggest using navigation your first time here. Stay right.

In the Winter it is not uncommon to lose power on the island. We have done everything we can to make your stay comfortable in this case. The hot water and stove operate on propane and the wood fire place will keep you warm.

It doesn't snow often on Salt Spring but when it does it can take the island a couple days to clear roads. Dan will make every effort to clear and salt our steep driveway but there may be a need to walk to the road. We have a truck that drives well in the snow and will be available to help you if needed.

A security deposit is only charged if we submit a claim of damage. Airbnb mediates until our parties agree.

I've lived on Salt Spring Island since 2008. I am a mother of 2. I work as a personal assistant as well as design and produce a sustainable clothing line from home and attend the Saturday Farmer's Market in the Summer. My partner Dan is a carpenter and local volunteer firefighter and all-around handy-man. We have owned our property since 2017. We lived in the Airstream before we purchased a house. While living in "August" for 2.5 years, I longed for a proper kitchen, a full bathroom, and a cozy couch, so we fully renovated it in 2018. Now that this beautiful space is in the yard I wish I could move back in! In the meantime, we can share the space with you ;) I enjoy hosting on Airbnb and I look forward to sharing all of my favourite things to do on this island.
