We had a fantastic time in this beautiful and tranquil holiday house! Denise was very kind and accommodating! The access road is a bit narrow and steep, but the remoteness is definitely worth it!

We were a bit confused upon arrival, as we assumed the house you see from the distance in the picture is where you stay. But it's not: that is the view. My in laws who came visiting us in SA were frightened by the drive to the house (very steep and some difficult turns). The walk to the beach is only for very fit people, or if you are okay with driving up and down. The beach is where the Braai area is, also not anywhere near the house. We did love the beach and had it all to ourselves. The views from the house are magnificent and calming. We even saw and heard whales in the distance. We did not meet Denise or any other host. She messaged us where we could find the key and that was it. All in all we loved our stay, but we needed some time to readjust our expectations.

If you need a place to clear your head, but also just have good family time this is a place to go! We loved the view! And the Knysna Loerie that came to visit every day, made our day! We will definitely go back again!

It was amazing! We ended up staying in number 24 and it was just right. Ballots Bay is stunning and the house was very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Excellent location, had a fantastic time. Had one or two unseasonably warm days during the time we were there, so think this might be a problem during peak summer times. The outside furniture one or two others have complained about is no longer an issue - comfortable and plentiful seating to enjoy the AMAZING views. All-in-all, highly recommended. Will definitely be returning.
