━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

◉ Note to overseas drivers ◉
We drive on the left-hand-side of the road and our vehicles seat the driver on the right. New Zealand is also larger than most people realise and has rough and winding roads, even on state highways. There are not many rest stops. We recommend you take note of the above travel times and plan your road trip carefully to ensure your holiday is a pleasant one. In summer there can be traffic queues and roadworks, so you should allow for possible delays. Also, please be kind to yourself and allow time for rest breaks and photo opportunities! New Zealand road trips are an amazing experience, so plan well to enjoy your journey... there and back again.

◉ Trees, bees, birds and more! ◉
Please note that the cottage is located in the forest and is surrounded by trees, nature and natural wildlife. There are no snakes in New Zealand but there are flowers, birds, bees and insects in the forest. Our spiders are also harmless, but they had to scale one down for the role of Shelob! This can mean pollen or bugs may enter the cottage during your stay. It is rare, however it can happen if windows are left open. If finding a harmless spider would bother you, or if you are severly allergic to pollen or bees, we recommend you be prepared. Although we are meticulous and thorough, we cannot promise the space will be entirely free of these things. Living in New Zealand is both wild and beautiful so we accept these small things as part of the wonderful life we have.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Other things to note
We have 3 curious cats that like to wander the section during the day. You may see them in the garden occaisionally, but they will not enter the cottage.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

󰀃 A Ring video doorbell is installed at the front door to the cottage, for security and convenience. Guests can press the doorbell anytime, day or night, to speak to us no matter where we are. We value guest privacy, therefore the doorbell does not continuously record and it is pointed away from the cottage itself. When activated by motion, the camera records a short clip of those entering or leaving the front door, which is automatically deleted after 30 days. 󰀃

Hi there! My name is Ben and I’m a work-from-home Artist/Web Designer who loves to meet people. Originally from the UK, my journey has led me to become an Airbnb host in New Zealand! We want our guests to feel welcome -like they’re staying in a small boutique inn that has their comfort in mind. My wife, Angel, and I worked for a year to create the most stunning Airbnb space we could, right down to the custom made furniture and drift wood decorations. We like everything to be perfect for our guests so we love hearing what people think of our space! Me as a host: working from home allows me to be very responsive to guests needs. Forgot your phone or laptop charger? I have a box of allll the kinds! The handle on your suitcase broke during the flight? I’ll take it to my workshop. Need a lift to town? I’m often going too, so give me a shout and we can sync up! See you soon :) ~ Ben
