The space
Seaglass is a detached timber chalet with all modern amenities. With an open plan feel there are sea views from the kitchen, diner, living room and master bedroom. A well equipped kitchen comes with a washing machine, microwave, fridge, gas hob and electric fan oven. There is gas central heating and a combi boiler for instant hot water. The shower room has a walk in cubicle and double sink with separate toilet and underfloor heating. There is a decked garden area, enclosed with raised planters and brick bbq overlooking the sea. The chalet is in an extremely quiet location, open your windows and all you can hear is the sea and birdsong. There is a free car park for the site a 100 yards from the chalet.

Guest access
The whole chalet is let as a unit. The site is made up of privately owned villas. Please note there are steps before reaching Seaglass which are unsuitable for people with mobility issues.

Other things to note
7 nights minimum July and August, Saturday check in. Ventnor is a beautiful area with a Mediterranean feel. Favoured by the Victorians due to its very mild micro climate and clean air it was a very popular winter holiday destination and retains most of its Victorian charm and architecture. Both Charles Dickens and Karl Marx lived here for a while. Please note there are steps before reaching Seaglass and no disabled access.

Location

Isle of Wight, England, United Kingdom

Ventnor is a fantastic, quirky Victorian seaside town. It is easy to reach by car or public transport. The beach is beautiful with excellent water quality for swimming. Voted in the top 10 UK seaside destinations 2018 by Countyfile and the Guardian and one of top 12 quirky seaside towns to visit by Timeout in 2019. There are many pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes open all year to suit all budgets. The scenery is spectacular, great for walking and as a base to explore the island. Steephill cove is around a 30 minute walk from Seaglass and is well worth a visit - very secluded and unspoilt. The Isle of Wight itself has many historical attractions including Osbourne House, the home of Queen Victoria where she lived out the rest of her life after Prince Albert died. Carisbrooke Castle, where Charles I was imprisoned before his execution is a bus ride away near Newport. He also lived in Ventnor for some of his incarceration on the island. Ventnor is also home to St Boniface Downs, the highest point on the island with spectacular views, grazing cattle and goats. We have only independently owned cafes, shops and restuarants which gives the town a very unique feel. Ventnor has a strong sense of community and always offers a warm welcome to visitors.

We love walking cycling and doing park run. We live in Ventnor and it's a great place to be or to visit. We like holidays where we can explore and have days where we also do nothing much apart from reading a good book. Quirky accommodation is our favourite. Peaceful and beautiful location a must.
