Anchor house located in Ship Cove, Port de Grave; where the scenery will take your breath away. It's that time of year when the boats wear their holiday best. People from near and far come to enjoy the spectacular views of the annual boat lighting. We are a 5-minute walk to the harbour where you too can see the beauty of boats lit up with holiday cheer.

The space
Escape from the every day and sit oceanside! Whether you are visiting from nearby or coming from away, Anchor House will feel like, your home away from home. Our 2 bedroom bungalow has an uninterrupted view of the ocean and comes with the beds freshly dressed with clean linens, and crisp white towels for bathing.
If this is your first visit to Port de Grave, welcome! There are plenty of reasons to keep you coming back year, after year. Lose yourself in the mesmerizing views of the harbour, watching the boats come and go, the puffins taking perch on rocks or catch a glimpse of the magnificent whales. Anchor House is located within walking distance of the harbour, park your vehicle and explore via foot.
Supermarket, shopping, restaurants and several other amenities are a short 10-minute drive into Bay Roberts. If you choose to eat in, our fully stocked kitchen will put your mind at ease when considering your meals. Enjoy grilling and furnished outdoor dining, on the private back deck in the summer.
Smell the fresh ocean air and feel the sea breeze, as you lounge in one of the Adirondack Chairs. From the front porch or the family room, you will experience the beauty of this great fishing village, either option includes a breathtaking view of Ship Cove.
Spring, summer, fall or winter, there are several reasons to visit all-year-long. Although, some months feel a little more magical, like December. The Annual Boat Lighting of Port de Grave is talked about near and far. People come from all over to see the beauty of the boats dressed up. For the month of December the lights shine from dusk until midnight daily, a definite must-see.
