Our recently renovated saltbox house is full of character and charm. It is nestled privately in the corner of Barr'd Islands with the ocean at your door step. You'll find everything you need in this fully furnished 4 bedroom home. To ensure a comfortable stay, hosts are conveniently nearby.

The space
In this quaint setting, you can sit back and relax and enjoy the scenery or peruse the local shops and walking trails . The house is fully equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, small appliances (coffee maker, kettle, blender, iron, toaster, etc.), bbq and laundry facilities. There is WiFi and a SmartTV in the house so you can watch Netflix and stream information from the internet but we do not have cable TV. It has electric heat and two full bathrooms. Each bedroom has a double bed with one bedroom having an extra single bed. As was typical of homes built over 100 years ago, our home is no exception as it has low ceiling beams (6 foot clearance) in the original part of the house. The staircase to the second floor is narrow with low clearance there too. There is ample shared parking. The terrain to get to the house is uneven and it is about 25 meters from the driveway.

Guests will have access to the whole house. The only exception being a locked storage room off the main floor bathroom and the attic.

Fogo Island is a diamond in the rough. The residents are proud of their heritage and work hard to share it with visitors. There are restaurants with great local cuisine, shops/galleries with beautiful crafts and art. The landscape has endless walking/hiking trails with breathtaking views. There are several interpretation centers and museums showcasing the history of the island.
