This tranquil little cabin is lakefront, and your chance to unplug from the everyday and reconnect with the simple things in life. Located by the Shuswap Lake in Seymour Arm, surrounded by lush forest and mountain views. Boating, hiking, fishing, swimming, kayaking, and paddle-boarding are some of the activities you might find yourself drawn to, or you could just kick off your flip-flops, dig your toes in the sand and refuse to budge for a day or three. Relax, retreat, renew yourself.

The space
Fully furnished and includes all linens - please bring your own beach towels.
Sleeps 4 comfortably (and up to six if you’re really friendly)
Fully functioning kitchenette complete with sink/hot plate/toaster oven/mini fridge and all dishes.
Very large 3pc bath (tub/shower combo, toilet and sink)

TV/DVD player located in living room - bring your favorite DVD's if you are inclined to watch something as there is no cable services here.

Cabin rental includes a free (1/2 day) kayak or paddle board rental during your stay. Please visit the local general store for availability!

This cabin is complete with private driveway to accommodate your vehicle (and toys) as well as a fire pit lounge area in the yard.
Perched approx. 100m from the waters edge with a lovely lakeview - the cabin is also located on the same property as the local General Store which FLOATS in the bay (150m away).

Other things to note
This is an off-grid location. All power is produced by a generator nearby.
Special measures have been put in place to reduce the noises of the generator (enhanced muffler system and foam lined enclosure) however we cannot silence it completely. We also cannot turn it off during your stay or you will not be able to power the refrigerator or lights.
There is a continuous hum emitted and ear plugs have been thoughtfully supplied but rarely required.

Seymour Arm is a small remote community. It is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, along the north shoreline of the Shuswap Lake and nestled at the top of the Seymour Arm surrounded by the Monashee Mountains. The community can be reached by boat or by the forestry service road (gravel road) known as the Seymour Main, running north from St. Ives.
Be sure to download the driving directions from your map app as this off grid community does not have phone service (unless connected to a booster or visiting the local general store).

My day to day life is full. I'm always connected to work and can feel pulled in many directions at once. Seymour Arm is where I go to get away from it all. This is where I can put aside the constant engagement that work requires of me and focus on what really matters. Family, friends, and myself. When I'm in Seymour Arm, I'm able to literally take time to smell the wild roses. I can listen to the raindrops. I can surround myself with the untamed wilderness and appreciate the finer things in nature. This is where I find myself enjoying my hobbies of reading, paddle-boarding, fishing, and have the time to savour my morning coffee. When I travel to other destinations I normally have to pay a lot to experience these privileges, but in Seymour Arm, these experiences are a way of life. The pace is slower, the atmosphere, more relaxed, and I can feel the pressures of my daily grind slipping away. As an AirBnB host, I am excited to be able to share the everyday lifestyle of Seymour Arm with those who truly need to "unplug and play". Life is better at the cabin.
