Other things to note
Living Off Grid
One of the things that makes Daniel's Store and Marina so special is its peaceful, off grid setting. Living off grid comes with a few unique characteristics that are all part of the experience.
Power
All of the cabin's electricity is generated by an on site generator located nearby.
We've taken special measures to reduce the sound, including an enhanced muffler system and a sound insulated enclosure. While the generator is much quieter than a typical generator, it does produce a gentle, continuous hum. It must remain running throughout your stay to provide electricity for the lights, refrigerator, hot water, and other essential services.
For your comfort, we've provided earplugs, although most guests find they aren't necessary.
A Few Off Grid Quirks
Living in the forest means sharing the area with local wildlife. You may see deer, birds, squirrels, or other woodland visitors during your stay. Please help us keep both our guests and wildlife safe by storing food securely and disposing of garbage as instructed.
Our WiFi is provided by Starlink satellite internet. While it generally works very well, it may occasionally slow down or briefly disconnect due to weather or network conditions.
Our cabin also operates on a specialized system that requires a little extra care. To help keep everything running smoothly, please flush only toilet paper and human waste. Items such as wipes (even those labeled "flushable"), paper towels, feminine hygiene products, diapers, cotton swabs, dental floss, and other personal items should be placed in the garbage.
Thank you for helping us care for this beautiful off grid property so future guests can enjoy it too!

My work: Nurse
My day to day life is full. I'm always connected to work and can feel pulled in many directions at once. Seymour Arm is where I go to get away from it all. This is where I can put aside the constant engagement that work requires of me and focus on what really matters. Family, friends, and myself.
When I'm in Seymour Arm, I'm able to literally take time to smell the wild roses. I can listen to the raindrops. I can surround myself with the untamed wilderness and appreciate the finer things in nature.
This is where I find myself enjoying my hobbies of reading, paddle-boarding, fishing, and have the time to savour my morning coffee. When I travel to other destinations I normally have to pay a lot to experience these privileges, but in Seymour Arm, these experiences are a way of life. The pace is slower, the atmosphere, more relaxed, and I can feel the pressures of my daily grind slipping away.
As an AirBnB host, I am excited to be able to share the everyday lifestyle of Seymour Arm with those who truly need to "unplug and play".
Life is better at the cabin.
