The space

Our authentic log cabin from the late 1800's is from PEI. We had it dismantled and rebuilt on our property. It is beautifully decorated with interesting and eclectic art by Kerras Jeffreys a PEI folk artist and glass artist Cathy Murchison Kro.

Guest access

Our log cabin has a small refrigerator, coffee pot, kettle, dishes, hotplate, and barbecue. Our guests have access to our beach which stretches for miles, our property to walk on, cards, Scrabble and Backgammon. Whether or not you play hide and go seek is up to you.

Interaction with guests

We greet our guests upon arrival. Introduce them to their surroundings and answer questions. We are available on our cell phone.

The neighbourhood

There is so much to do. A fabulous restaurant at the end of Pt. Prim Road, right on the ocean, is open mid June to mid September, Blackfox Manor for cozy, elegant dining open year round,Kro in the Sky glass artist is 5 minutes away, we are also 5 minutes from the Highland Greens Golf Course. Cooper's IGA and gas station is a five minute drive where you can get snacks, groceries, beverages.

Getting around

As we are in the country one needs a car.

Other things to note

Our Logcabin has a barbecue, a hot plate, a small refrigerator, kettle, toaster, coffee pot. Please know that we do not have a full kitchen with a stove.
At times our Internet can be cranky. Our cabin is tucked in trees and Internet access at times can be tricky You are more than welcome to come
to our home and use ours. Our home is on the property.

Host was terrific - warm, welcoming, in- clusive by including us in her Canadian Thanksgiving dinner with local friends. Wonderful cabin in which we rode out quite a fierce day+ storm. Wood fireplace real plus for us. Would definitely return/recommend to others.

Absolutely a precious little gem. Cottage was small however had all one needed to have a private, relaxing vacation. We are outdoor people and took advantage of both decks. Enjoyed the back deck for morning coffee and took full advantage of the front deck for barbecuing, wine and a magnificent view of the ocean. The decor inside and outside the cabin was magnificent. Jan was the perfect hostess. Would highly recommend this cottage and hope to return next summer.

Jan's cabin is a wonderfull place to stay. Everything you might possibly need is there. The cabin is well equiped and was very clean. We enjoyed having breakfast on the front porch in the morning, making long walks by the beach in the afternoon and lighting the fire in the evening. We had the best time! Thanks very much for sharing, Jan!

Jan was a fantastic host, and made us feel so welcome. The pictures on AirBNB of the Cabin do not do it justice, it is just so beautiful! The view of the ocean was lovely. Walking down the ocean was fine for myself and my partner, but may be a bit much for anyone with bad knees. I couldn't get over how great the small bathroom was. The stained glass was incredible, and there was always hot water! The bed was comfortable, and the wood burning fireplace looked lovely, though it was too warm for us to use during our stay, I bet it would be wonderful on a cool night. We did not get wifi in the cabin, because it is actually the wifi from Jan's house next door. That being said, if you needed to use it all you had to do was walk outside and towards their home and you got it. Everything was lovely for our stay. Thank you so much for everything, Jan. We look forward to hopefully staying with you again!

We cannot thank Jan enough for the time at her cabin as it is absolutely amazing and she is so friendly and kind. Every detail of this cabin is so well thought out and makes for the perfect island getaway. We really enjoyed having coffee in the morning while the fire warmed the cabin up. The water is a short walk away and is very nice to go walk on the sand when the tide is low. Jan suggested we go to the Chowder House for dinner and it was so good we ended up going twice. This cabin is highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy getaway on the island.. We will definitely be back!

The pictures hardly do this place justice. Every detail is well thought out and it's easy to tell that there is love put into every little detail. All the reviews are right, it's incredible. We enjoyed our 2 night stay so much! I don't have anything negative to say about the place. Jan's place is a hidden gem and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.
