Hop Pickers’ House is a gorgeous cottage, situated in beautiful countryside on the Worcestershire / Shropshire border.

It's on the edge of Brook Farm, surrounded by nine acres of gardens, meadows, woodland and a babbling brook. We're 2 miles from the riverside town of Tenbury Wells and 8 miles from the beautiful medieval town of Ludlow.

Hop Pickers' House is a Grade II listed refurbishment of old travelling hop pickers’ barn accommodation, dating back to the 1700s. It sleeps 2 people.

The space
Hop Pickers' House is a beautiful refurbishment of old travelling hop pickers’ barn accommodation. It's full of character and charm, spacious and cosy. It's the perfect place to relax and get away from it all.

Ground floor: Open plan, fully-equipped kitchen (with dishwasher), dining and living area - with wood-burning stove (basket of logs provided), farmhouse table, snuggler, sofa, TV (Freesat) / DVD. Central heating. Separate boot room and outside seating / dining. Parking right outside the cottage.

First floor: Bedroom with king-size four poster bed, spacious dressing and sitting room area. Bathroom with a free-standing bath, separate shower and WC. All bedding and towels provided.

Exposed beams and brickwork ooze character, style and charm.

Hop Pickers' House is surrounded by nine acres of beautiful gardens, meadow and woodland.

Guest access
Enjoy the peace and seclusion of nearly nine acres of gardens, meadows, woodland and of course, the brook. Perfect for a stroll with the dog, listening to the birds, lying in the sun...or a beautiful place to just be.

Find a lovely spot to sit and watch the sun set, or enjoy an evening drink. Or enjoy a barbecue (guests can use a Firebowl) with delicious local fare.

Other things to note
Hop Pickers' House is a lovely spot for dogs! Well-behaved dogs are very welcome - at no extra charge.

Hop Pickers’ House is perfect for a celebration or special occasion. Over the last two years, it has hosted two marriage proposals, five honeymoons, as well as many anniversary and birthday celebrations. We’ve helped guests make their stay even more special – and to plan surprise meals, treasure hunts, rose petal trails….and even special music playing in the cottage on arrival.

Hop Pickers' House won Best Self Catering accommodation at the 2018 Visit Worcestershire Awards.

Hop Pickers' House is in a quiet, rural location, 2 miles from Tenbury Wells - and 8 miles from the beautiful medieval town of Ludlow.

Tenbury Wells is known as the “town in the orchard”, an ideal point for picking up the local cider route. It has lots of lovely independent shops.

Ludlow boasts a majestic castle and church, stunning Georgian architecture, fantastic markets (almost every day) and exceptional places to eat.

I'm Stephen and I live at Brook Farm, Tenbury Wells with my partner, Steven, and our labrador. Brook Farm is located on the Worcestershire / Shropshire border, in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. We're surrounded by lovely gardens, woodland, a brook, space to grow fruit and vegetables and our gorgeous, award-winning, self-catering cottages, Hop Pickers' House and Hen House. Our holiday cottages are really special places to stay. Our aim is to provide our guests with: * A warm and friendly welcome * A relaxing spot to unwind and enjoy tranquil, unspoilt Worcestershire countryside * Advice and information on places to see / visit * Help if it’s needed - otherwise, we leave guests to it. We both love food (nearby Ludlow is known for its restaurants, markets and food festivals), cinema (Stephen is Chair of Tenbury's art deco theatre / cinema, The Regal) and walking with our dog. We grow lots of fruit of vegetables at Brook Farm - so expect a bottle of apple juice made with our own apples and a jar of delicious homemade jam as a welcome!
