The space
Tumalo is a quiet rural yet close in the little hamlet of Bend. We live on 3 acres with farmland and ranches surrounding us. We are not too far off-highway but road noise has never been an issue.
Tumalo is home to Canadian geese, deer, elk, badgers, coyotes, alpacas, lamas, and pygmy goats.
Our studio has a separate driveway shared with our awesome neighbors and a completely private fenced parking area, deck, sitting area with table, chairs.
The Kitchen has a full refrigerator, freezer. There is not a full-sized oven, but we have a combination microwave convection oven on the countertop. You can bake a small pizza in it. Instructions are in the drawer for using the Micro/convection oven.
There is a one-burner induction stovetop for cooking in the cabinet and pans to go with it. Instructions are in the drawer for the induction burner.
Our suite has a loft area with a cozy memory foam bed.
There are fairly steep and somewhat narrow stairs to access the loft, make certain to view the stairs in the listing to know if you're able to climb them. No one has had trouble yet but we just want to make sure you can access the loft sleeping area. The ceiling is a little low in the loft, watch your head if you're a tall one!
There are awesome south-facing windows for tons of streaming sunlight to start your day, and a small deck for your use to have your morning coffee.
There is so much dark sky to enjoy the amazing stars of the high desert!
There are gorgeous mountain views from the property but not directly from the studio. The view from the studio is a large open pasture. You are welcome to take a walk around by the little stream that runs in the summer in the backyard to view the Three Sisters Mountains. It's a 5 min drive to Trader Joe's and about 2 min to Tumalo for The Bite or some Tumalo Cider. You may be interested in a hearty steak dinner at the historic Tumalo Feed Company 3 minutes away. We would love you to be our guest!

Bend distillery is within walking distance from us. They have amazing bloody Mary’s for you to try in their tasting room. The Laidlaw Butte hike is right out our back door as well as the Llamas on the Mock Road walk - the mile long gravel road nearby.
Great Mountain Views from the property!
Hiking and mountain biking very near ( Maston Trail Head ) and we are within a mile of Oregon Scenic Bike way route.
Very close to Tumalo St park and the cute little town of Tumalo.

I am a part time Emergency Department nurse in Bend Oregon . My husband Mike and I love living in this beautiful area and are grateful to call Bend our home for the past 27 years.
We enjoy hiking, backpacking, cycling, Mt biking, xc skiing, alpine skiing, traveling, floating the river, and visiting Bend's many awesome pubs, restaurants and coffee shops.
Currently we are DIY converting a Promaster for vanlife adventures.
Our four awesome grown sons left the nest, we love meeting new folks. Now we can host you!
